When Miaofu was asked by Yu Wan, she turned to look at the statue and said with some surprise:
"Exactly, this golden-haired beast is Master Guanyin's beast rider, named Sai Tai Sui.
The statue here is the only place in the temple where the Guanyin beast is carved. Unexpectedly, when Donor Yu arrived, the first thing he noticed was the statue of the sacred beast..."
Yu Wan was speechless: ...It was not because this thing looked so much like rhubarb that it caught her eye at a glance.
Statue Sai Tai Sui: ...Speak clearly! First come, first served, who looks like whom? !
"But it is precisely for this reason that this mountain peak is called Chaotian Peak, which is derived from the sacred beast Sai Taisui's magical skill of roaring to the sky." Miaofu continued to explain.
After Yu Wan listened, she felt a little emotional:
It was really fate. I was suddenly pulled into a strange world. I didn’t expect that I would meet a fellow member of the rhubarb family here!
And it seems that the ferocious beast Golden-haired Tiger, which is widely rumored in the world of cultivation, has become the mount of the powerful Guanyin in the Buddhist world, and is even more famous as a "holy beast"!
In this case, can she think that this golden retriever named Sai Tai Sui has found a place for the golden retriever clan that has always been labeled as a "ferocious beast"? !
Well, this kind of treatment... really makes a serf stand up...
Yu Wan saw a result, and because of the relationship between Aiwu and Wu, he was naturally happy to see such a fact exist.
In this way, if you are here, you don't have to worry about the identity of the big golden furry. When he is discovered, he will be shouted at and beaten. Instead, he may be regarded as a member of the holy beast clan? !
When Yu Wan saw the look of respect and awe for the Sai Tai Sui in Miao Fu's eyes, it deepened her own speculation and understanding.
Although she was happy in her heart, Yu Wan still said curiously:
"I wonder if the holy beast Sai Taisui is still in the temple?"
Miaofu looked at Yu Wan in surprise, then shook his head helplessly and said:
"Hey... that's right, you are not from this world, so naturally you don't know the things in this world. When my Buddha's merits are perfected, I will attain the Dharma and ascend like you and other Taoists.
As for Sai Taisui, as the mount of Guanyin Master, he followed the master to break through the world and flew to the Paradise of Paradise tens of millions of years ago. Naturally, he will not appear in this world.
What's more, although Guangfu Temple of our temple is a nunnery dedicated to Guanyin Master, among the many temples and nunneries dedicated to Guanyin Master, it is at most a medium-sized temple and monastery, not the largest. When it comes to the largest Guanyin Hall, it is Mount Putuo, located in the middle of the Buddha Realm.
The central part is a sacred place of Buddhism, where the largest ancestral temple is dedicated to the Buddha and the four Bodhisattvas.
According to legend, that place was the birthplace of the original Taoist temple where the "One Buddha and Four Saints" promoted the universal Dharma. The three thousand Buddhas, the five hundred Arhats, the Eight Vajras, the Four Bodhisattvas and other great saints all set up Taoist temples and held Dharma meetings here. of.
Therefore, the central part has become a place with the largest number of believers due to the atmosphere of Buddhism and the faith of believers. "
"So that's it. So... are there still golden-haired dogs in this world today?" Yu Wan was still concerned about the situation of the Dahuang clan, so she persisted in asking.
"This... I really don't know. After all, the poor nun has not traveled much, and even if he reads a collection of books, there is no mention of the holy beast. After all, the holy beast is not so easy to see.
However, I heard that there is a young green-faced lion qiu in the central part of the country, which was enshrined as an auspicious holy beast by Mount Wutai. This is the only news that the poor nun knows about the real existence of the holy beast in this world. "Miaofu explained.
"A lion with a green face? But a lion with a round head, eyes like glass lamps, jagged teeth, and red hair and beard all over its body?"
Yu Wan asked a little uncertainly.
She remembered that there seemed to be a mention of such a lion monster in "The Chronicles of All Things".
However, the record of the green-faced lion in the book is not an auspicious holy beast, but a fierce and powerful monster that has been trained to the Mahayana.
"Exactly, I didn't expect Donor Yu to have such an understanding of the holy beast Green Faced Lion...
This green-faced lion Qiu is the mount of Manjushri Bodhisattva, called the Green Lion First Immortal, and it keeps pace with the golden-haired dragon Tai Sui.
There are two sacred beasts with the same name. Samantabhadra's mount is the six-tusked white elephant Lingtooth Fairy, and Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's mount Tingting. "Miaofu explained.
After hearing this, Yu Wan had some understanding in her heart. She didn't expect that the blood quality of the monster beasts in the Buddha Realm was very high. Just hearing that these four beasts were extraordinary, but there was one thing that made Yu Wan very curious, so she immediately asked :
"According to what you said, there is one Buddha and four saints in the Buddha realm. These four saints already have mounts. So what is the mount of the Buddha?"
Miaofu didn't expect that Yu Wan would be so curious about the Buddha's mount. Inexplicably, he felt that this donor Yu's thirst for knowledge was really strong, so he had to explain:
"It is said that the Buddha did not have a mount, and he always sat on the sacred lotus platform to preach the Dharma and preach the sutras.
However, the history is too long, and there are also historical records that say that when the Buddha was born, he was born from the right side of the Virgin Mary while sitting on a six-tusked white elephant.
Calculated in this way, the Buddha's mount was a six-tusked white elephant since he was a child. It was not until he followed the cultivation of Buddhism and became a true Buddha that he no longer needed a mount, so he gave the six-tusked white elephant to Samantabhadra. "
Seeing that the two of them had been chatting all the way, Miaofu had stopped at the door of her courtyard without entering, so he had to change the topic:
"Donor Yu, please go to the yard to rest for a while."
"Oh, okay, I'm sorry to bother you."
Yu Wan was a little embarrassed at this time. She came to the residence with Miao Fu. She was supposed to do as she pleased, but as a guest, she couldn't see and had a deep conversation at the door of the house. It was really rude, so she had to hurry up. Following Miaofu's footsteps, we entered the courtyard gate together...
The courtyard is not big, like a quadrangle, with two rooms on the left and right walls, and a dormitory on the left and right of the main hall room. The middle is the most spacious, and is used as the hall for worshiping Buddha and kneeling.
The open space in front of the courtyard has been rationally developed and utilized. The left and right sides to the gate are surrounded by stone circles. Some fruits and vegetables are planted on the left side of the courtyard, and some medicinal plants are planted on the right side of the aisle. The growth is quite gratifying. Look It turns out that the people who planted them put a lot of thought into taking good care of them.
Yu Wan followed Miaofu but saw no one. Out of respect, Yu Wan did not let go of his spiritual exploration and continued to enter the hall with Miaofu.
In the center of the hall, there is a statue of Guanyin as tall as one person. Guanyin sits on a lotus platform, holding a pure vase in one hand and raising five hearts to the sky in the other. His face is kind and his eyes are slightly lowered.
On a desk in front of the statue, there is an incense tripod, and a whole box of sandalwood pillars are placed next to the incense tripod for refilling the incense.
In the incense cauldron, three pillars of incense were already burning, and the ashes had just burned down to less than 30%. Yu Wan knew that there must be people living in this courtyard, and the incense was newly replaced.
Miaofu naturally lit the incense and inserted the incense into the incense pot. Then, she knelt down in the middle of the three futons in front of the desk, performed Buddhist rituals and kowtowed three times devoutly.
In order to seek peace of mind, Yu Wan chose the futon on the left and knelt down, imitating Miao Buddha, closing her eyes and bowing, praying for the safety and health of her family...
