[Qian Hongchu enters the imperial court] Before regaining Shengzhou, Zhao Kuangyin asked someone to bring a message to Qian Hongchu, saying that you have made great achievements in regaining Changzhou. After the Southern Tang Dynasty is completely pacified, you can come to the capital and join me. Over the years, we have It's all online correspondence. I really want to meet you. Don't worry, I'll let you go back to the country after meeting for a few words. You won't be detained. Can't you even believe what I say?

Zhao Kuangyin has made it clear many times that what Huang Yi Jian brought this time should be an ultimatum.

In the first month of 976, Qian Hongchu set out from Hangzhou with carefully prepared gifts and headed toward Bianzhou with an uncertain future.

Zhao Kuangyin attached great importance to this state visit. In order to facilitate Qian Hongchu's visit, a temporary highway was built. This river was opened specifically for Qian Hongchu, so Longzhou Weir was renamed

"Datongyan" - this is the glorious description in "The Preparation of History of Wu and Yue". In fact, it can be changed to any name, but it must be changed because the original name

"Dragon Boat", you, a small local vassal king, dare to call yourself a dragon? The boat floated gently in the water, and the cool wind blew in front of it.

In February, Qian Hongchu's fleet arrived in Baoying County, and there were already dedicated personnel at the expressway service area to greet him - Comrade Zhai Shouxu, the introduction envoy, had already obeyed Zhao Kuangyin's order and had been waiting here for a long time.

"I gave the king decoction and medicine, put it in a gold box, and gave him two horses with golden saddles and bridles. He also escorted the imperial chef, Yiluan, and Hanlin to Yan."

When he arrived in Sizhou, he was greeted by central officials from afar, who gave him 300 horses and 100 camels.

"To carry luggage", knowing that you brought many gifts, specially allocated a transport vehicle. Come on, come on, bring more stuff.

Soon after, the imperial court sent another high-ranking official to give him a gold box of decoction, fifty bottles of French wine, and fifty boxes of tea and fruit.

When he was about to arrive at the border of Bianzhou, Zhao Kuangyin sent his prince Zhao Dezhao to greet him and gave him 100 bottles of French wine and 100 boxes of fruits.

The next day, Qian Hongchu finally arrived in Bianzhou City. Zhao Kuangyin ordered Zhao Dezhao to hold a banquet in Yingchun Garden to welcome the wind and wash away the dust, and then led Qian Hongchu and his party to move into Lixian's house.

A few days before this, Zhao Kuangyin personally inspected the Lixian House project and participated in the acceptance and handover work to show that he attached great importance to Qian Hongchu's visit.

A few days later, Qian Hongchu and Zhao Kuangyin formally met in Chongde Hall, and the atmosphere was quite harmonious. Zhao Kuangyin extended a warm welcome to Qian Hongchu's arrival, while Qian Hongchu contributed two articles - "He Ping Jiangnan", "Permission for Hajj", along with the article, more than 5,000 pieces of rhinoceros jade belts, precious jade and gold objects, and 1,000 bottles of wine were presented.

Zhao Kuangyin then held a state banquet in Changchun Palace to entertain Qian Hongchu and his party. During the banquet, Zhao Kuangyin presented gold photo boxes, gold banknotes, gongs, bottles and plates, etc.

"They all control things." The next day, Qian Hongchu came to thank him, and Zhao Kuangyin ordered a banquet in the back garden. I have friends coming from afar, can I still eat?

After settling in for a few days, Zhao Kuangyin came to Lixian's house and gave Qian Hongchu 2,000 taels of gold, 30,000 taels of silver, and 20,000 bolts of silk. Qian Hongchu's eldest son Qian Weijun and others also had their own rewards.

Qian Hongchu sent Qian Weijun with two rhinoceros belts and five thousand gold and jade treasures as gifts in return. In March, Zhao Kuangyin gave Qian Hongchu the privilege of going to the palace with swords and shoes, and the unnamed privileges. He named his wife Sun the concubine of Wuyue King, and his daughter the title of Pengcheng Junjun. He also gave Qian Hongchu more than 500 decoctions, French wine, tea and fruits, etc. .

Qian Hongchu offered 60,000 taels of platinum and 60,000 pieces of silk as thanks. The next day, the prime minister said that it was against the rules for the wives of princes and kings with different surnames to have no concubine title.

Zhao Kuangyin replied that he would start with me. Later, the state banquet was changed to a family banquet, and Zhao Kuangyin invited Qian Hongchu to drink and go boating in the Imperial Garden. Apart from Zhao Kuangyin, only Zhao Guangyi and Zhao Guangmei sat with him.

When he was happy after drinking, Zhao Kuangyin asked Zhao Guangyi, Zhao Guangmei and Qian Hongchu to bow down. Qian Hongchu was so frightened that he quickly left the table and kowtowed repeatedly to show that he did not dare to climb high.

The next day, Zhao Kuangyin issued an imperial edict to Luoyang, and at the same time ordered Qian Hongchu to return home, fulfilling his previous promise. Qian Hongchu applied to accompany him, but Zhao Kuangyin issued an edict not to allow it, and only allowed his eldest son Qian Weijun to accompany him.

As a farewell gift, Zhao Kuangyin gave Qian Hongchu 2,000 taels of gold, 10,000 taels of silver, 30,000 taels of silver, a pair of jade belts, a jade saddle and bridle, a royal horse, five fine horses, and a total of brocade. Eighty thousand horses, eight hundred military uniforms, one hundred loose horses, Yamen belts and sewn shirts, and two thousand other things, each of the entourage will be rewarded.

Zhao Kuangyin explained that the climate between the north and the south was different, and he was afraid that Qian Hongchu would not be accustomed to the climate, so he asked him to return to Hangzhou as soon as possible.

Before leaving, Zhao Kuangyin personally handed him a tightly sealed package and asked him to secretly open it and watch it on the way.

Qian Hongchu was so moved that he cried and begged for a three-year-old marriage. Zhao Kuangyin said that the journey was too long and the boat and carriage were too tiring. I ordered you to come back when you go to the throne, otherwise there would be no need to come in person.

The next day, Qian Hongchu's wife went to the palace to say goodbye and was rewarded with three hundred taels of gold, two thousand pieces of clothing, and two thousand taels of silver.

On the day of leaving Beijing, Zhao Guangmei was ordered to hold a farewell banquet in Yingchun Garden, and he also asked the introduced envoy Zhai Shousu to accompany Yuchu, Hanlin, Yiluan and others along the way to escort him to Suiyang County. I will send you to the outside of the small village. I know my heart clearly.

The next day, he sent someone to catch up with him and gave him a gold box of soup and medicine. Thirteen days later, the fleet entered the territory of Wuyue Kingdom.

Qian Hongchu took a shower and changed clothes, cleansed his hands and burned incense. Then he took out the yellow cloth parcel that Zhao Kuangyin had given him personally and placed it respectfully in the middle of the bookcase. He knelt in front of the bookcase, first bowed to the parcel and then bowed. Open the blind box carefully and expectantly.

After opening the box, I found that they were all memorials and letters, most of which were secret. After taking a closer look, I found that

"Wha—" Qian Hongchu broke into a cold sweat from fear, and the bath just now was in vain. There are many chapters, but the theme is quite the same - I beg the Holy Admiral to detain Qian Hongchu!

So the "History of Wu and Yue" said that Zhao Kuangyin knew Qian Hongchu

He was "loyal and prudent", so he insisted on letting Qian Hongchu return to China despite all opinions, and forwarded all sealed private messages to Qian Hongchu urging him to stay.

above

"Qian Hongchu's visit to the imperial court" is basically recorded in "The Preparation of History of Wu and Yue", and it is undoubtedly a great family reunion. Zhao Kuangyin and Qian Hongchu hit it off immediately, and they share the same feelings with each other. They are really like two gentlemen.

So "Ten Kingdoms Spring and Autumn" helped him add a little content: 1. Three belts. When Qian Hongchu first met Zhao Kuangyin, he offered a rhinoceros belt, which is a very precious and rare treasure.

After Zhao Kuangyin accepted it, he said: "I also have three precious belts, but they are not the same as yours." Qian Hongchu said, please take them out and let me open my eyes.

Zhao Kuangyin smiled and said: "One is the Bian River, one is the Huimin River, and one is the Wuzhang River." These three rivers are key water conservancy projects and serve people's livelihood.

Qian Hongchu was very ashamed after hearing this. There is another record, slightly different: Zhao Kuangyin said

"One for the Bianhe River, one for the Huaihe River, and one for the Yangtze River." If this is the sentence, then it is full of threats and intimidation.

The Bianhe River runs through Bianzhou and refers to Bianzhou and then the Central Plains region; the Huaihe River refers to the Southern Tang Dynasty; the Yangtze River is another name for the Yangtze River and refers to the Wuyue Kingdom.

The Southern Tang Dynasty had just been recovered by the Song Dynasty. Isn't this sentence very aggressive? Zhao Kuangyin tactfully expressed the serious political red line that there is only one China in the world. Since ancient times, China has not tolerated separatism and division, whether it is Huainan, Jiangnan or the other side of the strait.

2,

"I will try my best for the rest of my life" Zhao Kuangyin hosted a banquet for Qian Hongchu in the imperial garden. Qian Hongchu first

"Thank you for a long time." Zhao Kuangyin ordered his chamberlain to help him up, and then gave him a glass of wine with his own hands. Qian Hongchu was moved.

"Weeping on the ground" and vowed: "My descendants will be filial and loyal to the Emperor of Song Dynasty!" Zhao Kuangyin replied: "But if I try my best in this lifetime, the descendants of the future generations will not be able to do it." The words of the two people do not need to be translated. The superficial meaning is They are all obvious, but they all require translation because there is something behind the words.

On the surface, Qian Hongchu said that the descendants of the Qian family would always be loyal to the Song Dynasty. ——Translation Translation: The Wuyue Kingdom will forever separate the two Zhejiang provinces.

Zhao Kuangyin said: As long as you are loyal to me, how can you restrain your descendants after you die?

——Translation Translation: Your loyalty prevents me from finding a reason to destroy you, but it’s hard to talk about your descendants and my descendants, so just leave it alone.

On the surface, there is harmony and mutual trust, but secretly, they fully exchange views on key issues and enhance mutual understanding. The talks are beneficial.

3. During a certain banquet in The Golden Phoenix, Zhao Kuangyin asked the royal female troupe to play the pipa to add to the fun, and Qian Hongchu took the initiative to contribute a speech.

The melody was beautiful, and everyone was mesmerized by it. They played CALL together. When they were in high spirits, they suddenly heard a line in the lyrics.

"The golden phoenix is about to fly but is blocked. It's full of love. You can see the jade tower separated by clouds and rain." Zhao Kuangyin immediately jumped up from his seat, caressed Qian Hongchu's back and said, "I swear not to kill King Qian." You Qian. Hongchu and Zhao Kuangyin have no personal grudges. Recovering the two Zhejiang provinces and reunifying them is a business matter. We distinguish between public and private matters. I only want your land, not your life.

[Second pilgrimage] Qian Hongchu was greatly moved by this pilgrimage to the great country. After returning to China, he ordered people to rearrange the office and move the seats to the east.

He doesn't dare to sit facing south, which is easy to understand, but if he turns the table and chairs sideways, why does it have to go east instead of west?

Qian Hongchu explained: "To the northwest, where the sacred capital is located, and the power of heaven is so close, how dare you live there!" The northwest is Bianzhou, which is the direction of Comrade Zhao Kuangyin, and I dare not make any mistakes; from now on, every day Before paying tribute to the court, they must first burn incense and pray to show humility; the above is still formalistic, but the next step is a substantive action: "The king issued an order to establish a harmonious society with the legal system, to seal the border without any trouble, and to defend the enemy with hundreds of people." I ordered them to be removed. There are white houses and city defenses in various cities, so I ordered them to be removed."

In a word, the Wuyue Kingdom did not regard the Song Dynasty as its imaginary enemy and removed its city defenses and other fortifications. Demilitarize and be honest with the Song Dynasty.

Half a year after Qian Hongchu returned to China, a major event also happened in the Song Dynasty: Taizu died and Taizong ascended the throne.

There is a new emperor in the Central Plains, and according to the old rules, Qian Hongchu will usher in a new round of official promotion: Qian Hongchu will be granted the title of Shangshu Ling and Zhongshu Ling.

Senior officials were sent to give Qian Hongchu birthday gifts. As a thank you and a return gift, Qian Hongchu sent his son Qian Weijun to pay tribute generously, and also asked for an increase in the number of tributes. Zhao Guangyi refused with an edict, saying that he accepted it and said don't spend so much money.

Now that there is a new emperor in the Central Plains, Qian Hongchu has to pay homage to the dock again. On February 6, 1978, two years after his first visit to Beijing, Qian Hongchu left Hangzhou again for Bianzhou.

After entering the Song Dynasty, Yangzhou, Sizhou, Suzhou, etc. were all greeted by senior officials of the Song Dynasty. The reception standards were the same as last time, showing the court's favor and no need to elaborate.

On March 24, Qian Hongchu arrived in the capital. The emperor's brother Zhao Guangmei held a banquet in Yingchun Garden to wash away the dust, and then stayed at Lixian House; on the 26th, Zhao Guangyi met Qian Hongchu in Chongde Hall.

Repeated banquets, gifts, return gifts, thanksgiving... everything seemed to be a repeat of two years ago. According to the old script, Zhao Guangyi would soon issue an edict to see off the guests. However, a small change occurred in April - Chen Hongjin of Quanzhou offered his land and returned to the court.

A small step for Quanzhou, but a giant step forward for Chinese history. What does Quanzhou's return to the imperial court have to do with Qian Hongchu of Wuyue Kingdom, and what does it have to do with the so-called Chinese history?

Wasn't Quanzhou left under the separatist rule of Chongxiao? Why did Chen Hongjin suddenly appear? We will briefly sort it out and use a short text to review the inverted writings in this inverted writing book.
