Original family

There has never been a moment when I realized the great influence of my family of origin on me as I do now.

When I was a child, my family was very poor and lived in an undecorated hut. But I didn't feel bitter at that time, but felt relaxed and happy.

My sister will plant some unknown flowers on the land in front of her house. When the flowers bloom, they are really beautiful. My parents are also around, and now I think back to the time when it was wonderful and satisfying.

But as we grow older, the family's financial pressure becomes greater. Parents had to go out to find jobs to make ends meet.

I didn’t understand it at that time, I just thought it was hard for my parents to go out to work and earn money. Every time I go home during the New Year holidays, I bring some delicious snacks with me.

So at that time, what my brothers and sisters and I were most happy about was that the holidays were coming and my parents were coming back soon.

I am also very fortunate that China is a big country with a 5,000-year civilization, a long-standing cultural heritage, and many traditional festivals.

Every time we had the few moments we spent together, my parents would seize the opportunity to teach us through words and deeds the principles of life, right and wrong.

I clearly remember that every time my parents left home, my brother and I would cry and feel uncomfortable for a long time before we could recover.

Perhaps it was because I was so spiritually satisfied when I was a child that I lacked materially. I have only now figured out what it brought me.

When we were young, our parents and grandparents kept us away from so-called junk food for the sake of our health. Grandma will also research some snacks in different ways and make them for us to eat. Naturally, except for necessary money to buy stationery, we usually had no pocket money until we entered junior high school. Therefore, we have another reason to look forward to the holidays: visiting relatives and friends. Relatives and friends will always give some pocket money, and this pocket money will not be taken away by parents.

When I was a child, I watched my classmates often walk into the school canteen, holding brightly colored snacks and eating them with gusto. At that time, I must have been lying if I said I wasn’t envious. But I didn’t have any money at that time and I didn’t know what the prices of snacks in the store were.

Until one time, I took 10 yuan, walked into the school store, took a bag of snacks, and handed the ten yuan in my hand to the boss. Then the first thing that shocked me happened: the boss took my 10 yuan, then found 9 yuan and 50 cents from a pile of change and handed it to me.

"Huh? How can you still find so much money?"

"This pack of snacks only costs 50 cents." The boss said casually.

Only 50 cents? This made me feel very happy, because 10 yuan can buy 20 packs.

Perhaps it was because I was physically different from other people, but gradually I liked being alone. Unless it's a very familiar friend, I don't even want to answer other people's questions. This habit still affects me to this day.

After I went to college, I also liked being alone. I would sit in the cafeteria and plug in my headphones on my phone, listening to my favorite music. I didn't feel lonely, on the contrary I enjoyed it. The number of times I have dinner with my roommates and friends is, to say the least, only a handful.

Maybe the past time will overlap with reality at some point, and I think there will always be something gained.

After experiencing some setbacks, I think I understand better: the so-called "the person who is close to the red is the red, some people are lucky just to meet them".
