In March, 220,000 words were updated. If we only count the half month after it was put on the shelves, the average daily update is 9,500 words.
For me personally, it is a new daily update record, but in today's world where scroll kings are rampant, I can only say that it is qualified.
According to the habit of the previous book, at the end of each month, I will write a summary to sort out the plot of the month, and summarize what went well and what went wrong based on the background subscription data.
Good to maintain, bad to iterate.
But this time I hesitated for a long time and still didn’t dare to look at the data. On the one hand, it has only been on the shelves for half a month, and the amount of data is not enough. In addition, after it was put on the shelves, the recommendations disappeared, and various data showed a downward trend. I didn't dare to look at it, for fear that my mentality would collapse and my code would be affected.
So I will summarize the gains and losses of creation in a few days.
Let’s just talk about the plot tonight.
The first volume has 300,000 words and more than 100 chapters. It is finally about to advance to the Grand Prize in the City of Gods. It is also the most important plot of this volume besides "Observing the Sky".
It took 300,000 words to set up the stage of the divine capital and bring in every character, force, and conflict.
The representative figures of the five major sects, the prototype of the system, as well as the recently emerged Buddhism of the Southern Tang Dynasty and the demon tribe of Xizhou, the "history" enriched by looking back at the memory...the worldview finally gradually unfolded.
Then the show started and the protagonist made his debut. After waiting for three months, it was finally time to go on stage. Everything was progressing according to the outline.

This book is different from my previous book Xianxia.
The main body of this book is a detective story, and the whole book is a big case, so that in many cases, it is more like writing an alternate history than a fairy tale.
This book is on the contrary. Almost all the characters involved so far are related to spiritual practice.
The focus is different, and the structure is completely different. Well, you can't see it yet. You will know it later.
Even up to now, the real core of this book has not yet come out. It has been foreshadowing, including the interactions between the protagonist and female characters from different eras in those memories. They all have their uses, and they are not water or literary youth. Romance, or driving or something like that...but it's a preparation for volumes two, three, and four.
I used to write fantasy articles, holding back a novel idea and constructing a plot around it. The numbers tend to be better in the early stages, but then as creativity is consumed and the plot mode cycles, it becomes increasingly unsightly.
The key point... I write too much of this type of imaginative writing, and I find that it barely improves my creative ability.
So I learned a lesson from the experience, starting from the original Xian Xia, I gave up my imagination and just wrote the story. In fact, this book is the same, there is no new "innovation", and even because the first volume is about "college competition", the story line looks very old. set.
Some of the plots have been criticized as "old routines from ten years ago". I bowed my head and let the criticism go, but I still chose to write it that way, because you have to walk some roads yourself to know what's going on.
…
Of course, the writing is indeed not good in many places. For example, the character creation is still not very good, but we are also striving to be better than before. There are bad things first, and then there are good things.
We are also looking for better solutions to many problems.
For example, if there are three consecutive martial arts performances, how can the plot not be repeated? Is it different every time?
For example, if a bunch of new characters appear in a short period of time, how can readers remember them without making them appear cluttered?
If you look closely, you will find that the three sects' characters are introduced in completely different ways, using three techniques.
For another example, we have to write a game next, but the character of the protagonist is more like a "mage" than a "warrior". How can we write effective fighting while maintaining the character of the protagonist?
It’s all something to think about.
There is a book next to my computer that is almost worn out. There is a sentence in it: "Meaningful failure is far more valuable than meaningless success."
Just like writing this book, because the subject matter lacks innovation, it cannot attract attention like a fantasy article, and the results are not good.
But you can indeed learn something in the process, so even if you fail, it may be better than repeating a mental routine to get better results.
Well, at least this is how I comfort myself, hahaha, I have to find some confidence in myself.

Phew, it’s getting further and further away. Thanks to everyone’s monthly ticket support last month, I was able to collect enough 1,000 tickets for the lottery next month.
I won a good prize for the last book. Although I only won once, I really wanted to win again.
So, it’s April 1st. I beg you, readers, to vote for a guaranteed monthly ticket. Last month, I had big bosses supporting me, but this month it’s gone. I really don’t know if I can get enough to get a thousand tickets.
Please vote!
