When I was chatting with a friend a few days ago, a topic came up inexplicably. He asked me, what do you think words were used for when they were first created.

Next came a discussion, which inexplicably shifted to the word human nature.

Later he said that one of the great functions of writing is probably to write down the good things and remember the bad ones.

I was silent for a long time, thinking carefully about the meaning of this sentence.

Then he sent a string of hahahaha... Do you think people's hearts are quite dark?

I didn't answer, so he continued, think about what I just said, write down the good things in words, hide the bad things in your heart, and think about it from another perspective, it's actually very beautiful.

I asked why.

He said, you see, this is the kindness of people. Write down the good things in words and spread them out. Children will not learn bad things after seeing them, and old people will not be disappointed after seeing them.

He said, buddy, you are a book writer, so you have to remember this sentence. What is spread through words cannot make the young learn bad things, nor can the old people be disheartened.

I was greatly shocked at the time, and I tried my best to reply to him.

He asked me, what story do you want to write in your new book? Before I could answer, he said forget it, you probably can't write any good stories like this, just tell me what the core of what you want to write is.
