December is over.
2020 is also over...
Compared with last year, we are much poorer.
However, I have grown a lot, and this year’s harvest is the greatest!
I embarked on the road of writing books and gained a lot of valuable experience, a girlfriend, and many lovely readers...
To be honest, my heart is extremely complicated.
This year I earned about 60,000 to 70,000 yuan from writing books, of which more than 30,000 yuan was sent home.
In the last year of my senior year, I didn’t ask for any tuition or living expenses from my family.
Compared with many people, although it is still insufficient, for me, it is already a big improvement.
Last October, I was interning in Guizhou and had plenty of time. During the book shortage, I accidentally came up with the idea of writing a book.
Maybe everything is destined...
I started reading books in the fourth grade of elementary school. The online enlightenment book [Evil King from Another World] was popular in the world. Even now, I am still reading his books.
Then it started to get out of hand.
The Proud Nine Heavens, Tomb of the Gods, Throne of the God's Seal, Battle to Break the Sky, Martial Against the Universe, God of Killing...
Until later, I read all kinds of imagination and heavenly stories, but rarely read those books by the great master Platinum.
Including Fire's Complete Mess Douluo, Covering the Sky, Now Mysterious, Ten Thousand Clans, etc., I haven't finished them yet.
This also leads to the fact that Douluo fandom is so popular now that any author in the group can make money writing it, but I can only watch with envy.
Writing books actually started when I was in junior high school.
At that time, I was writing on a push-button mobile phone. There was no writing software, so I inserted the memory card and replaced it with the file name in the file management. Each file name had dozens of characters. When the maximum number of characters was reached, the next file was created and continued.
Just like that, I wrote a few hundred file names intermittently. When I felt that the number of words was almost there, I went to an Internet cafe to insert a memory card and then copied it to a web page and published it.
But because I went to an Internet cafe, my mother discovered me, and then... my career as a writer was cut short.
It seemed that I had only written a dozen chapters at that time, and posted them on Qidian.com (because my favorite writer at the time, Tudou, was also at Qidian.com).
Because writing is difficult, I still remember it clearly. The name is [Traveling to Another World and Upgraded to God], and the author’s name is [Yi Xifengyu]. It seems that even Baidu Encyclopedia can still be found...
But because he died in infancy, it was shelved.
After that, I also had the idea of continuing to write.
In 2017, I discovered Writer Assistant on QQ Reading and signed up immediately. I also wrote a book called Plane Flow at QQ Reading. I also coded on my phone after class and wrote and published one chapter.
However, just after writing the fifth chapter, the contract manager did not come, but a violation notice came...
Yes!
Driving is blocked...
This incident particularly affected my self-confidence, so I stopped writing about it. No one would read it anyway...
Then.
Until I was an intern at Guizhou Hospital last year, I had a lot of time after get off work. In addition to playing games, I would go drinking and clubbing with a group of friends.
But suddenly I felt that this was a waste of life, so I took advantage of the book shortage to write again... (Actually, I just had no money to go out to play, and the king was also marked with glory. I had no teammates to eat chicken, and no books to read...)
I saved more than 40 chapters and started publishing books. I admired myself a little at that time, but I didn’t know how I persisted. I went back to code after work every day.
Because it was just the beginning, and I was using a mobile phone to code, and I had just switched from nine keys to 24 keys, so the code was relatively slow. Basically, I coded around 1 o'clock every day, and it took five or six hours to code two chapters of 4,000 words.
In this way, I saved it for nearly a month, and on October 15th, I couldn't help but publish the book.
Because there is a shadow at the starting point, I searched on Baidu and searched many author groups to join and ask. I heard that QQ Reading (that is, Chuangshi Chinese website) is easier for newcomers to get along, so I posted Chuangshi.
I handed out the book with great anxiety, and then read the results every day.
At that time, I was only thinking about signing a contract, which felt like a very important process.
However, more than a month after publishing the book, the signing site manager has not come yet.
I took the initiative to apply once for 50,000 words, and again for 100,000 words.
It wasn't until 150,000 words were written that the contract application was approved. I immediately went to the Internet cafe to fill in the information, printed the contract that night, and sent it out the next day.
It wasn't until nearly 200,000 words were signed that the contract was successfully signed and the status changed.
However, maybe the contract was signed late, and the results were not good, so there was no recommendation. When it reached 258,000 words, I couldn’t wait any longer, so I told the editor to put it on the shelf.
I ran naked until the Eight Thousand Collection was put on the shelves, and I thought it would have good results.
However, my confidence was once again shattered.
The first 79 orders were placed on the shelves, which means that only 79 people are willing to spend money to read my book.
I remember that when we were about to go on sale, our internship had just ended, and the school arranged to go to Hangzhou for social practice, which actually meant going to work in a factory.
But at that time, my hometown was building a house, and I was still updating. I felt that I might not be able to write when I went to work, so I wanted to give it a try anyway.
So, I called the teacher and told him, and then I took the car home alone.
I didn't have any grades yet, so I didn't dare tell my parents that I was writing a book. I just helped build a house during the day, moving bricks and so on, and went back to code after dinner in the evening.
Available on November 29th.
At twelve o'clock that night, because my hometown had not yet connected to the Internet cable, and my home was relatively remote, there was no Internet connection when I was sitting at home, so I went up to the small bungalow and squatted alone, posting five chapters at once, and then waited to see the results.
Refresh every few minutes.
Just like that, I waited until after three o'clock and went back because I was too sleepy. I remember that there were more than 30 people subscribing at that time.
The store opened with great anticipation the next day, first order for 79...
My heart went cold.
But at that time, it was not realistic to go to Hangzhou with the school. They would have left a few days ago.
I had no choice but to persevere. After all, even if no one read it at that time, I updated 4,000 words every day and had 600 full attendance every month.
For the six hundred yuan, I continued writing.
Five chapters were also posted the next day.
Then, if we look again on December 1st, the average subscription has increased to over 400? !
Suddenly I am happy!
Then just keep going.
Looking at it on December 3rd, I earned 106 yuan in November with a few yuan in rewards. Although it is not much, I am still very happy. After all, as long as I have 50 yuan a day, I will be able to earn 1,500 yuan a month.
But what happened next was a bit beyond my expectation.
That's right, the reversal is here...
In the next few days, my grades soared like a rocket.
In just a few days, the average order rose to more than 1,000.
Then various recommendations came in, and the editor became easy to talk to.
By the end of December, average bookings had risen to 2,000.
Then that month, including rewards for perfect attendance and the like, the manuscript fee was 6,020!
On January 3, the night when the royalties were calculated, I was in a daze while working all day.
Because I still had to save the manuscript, I was too lazy to type anything for a whole day. I held my R9 that I had used for more than two years stupidly one day, and clicked on it every few minutes to look at the manuscript fee.
Until that night, while sleeping in bed, I held my phone and cried for a long time without realizing it.
It’s not that I’m excited, or that I’m happy, I just feel that the past few months, which I stayed up day and night coding, and went to the bungalow to check information on the Internet at night without telling my parents, were not in vain!
Then, starting from that night, I made a decision that I would write books for the rest of my life, even part-time.
Next, calm down and continue coding seriously.
And it really didn't disappoint me.
The manuscript fee is basically more than 5,000, and the highest is more than 7,000 a month.
I also dared to tell my parents that I was writing a book, so there was no need to hide it.
Later, I spent my own money to connect the Internet cable to my home and got a new mobile phone, which was much more convenient.
Although my parents didn't understand that I could make money by writing books, at least they didn't object. After all, the money I paid was real RMB.
Until the end of March, April.
I met my current girlfriend.
In addition, during the epidemic, many friends have come back and invite me to play at any time...
Then, it started to get worse...
Efforts and gains are directly proportional.
There are few updates, and naturally the income is also low. In addition, the writing of the first book is relatively rubbish, and it falls apart in the middle. There are also various poisonous points in the early stage.
So the income became less after that.
Until the epidemic is over and schools close their holidays, things will start to stabilize.
At the end of July, I took the time to open this summoning stream.
To be honest, I was quite uneasy.
Although the first book had good results, it was scrapped by me, and there were basically few readers left.
So I was afraid of reading the second book.
I originally wanted to change my vest, but after thinking about it I decided against it.
Although the results of the new book were not very good, it was much better than the old book, and there were also recommendations. In addition, some big people read my book and were willing to reward it, so I persisted.
The first order score was more than 400 and less than 500, typical of a street player, but it was okay, at least it was enough for me.
Coupled with the many updates, the income in these two months has exceeded that of the old book, and it exceeded 10,000 at its peak!
This income is enough for me to be proud of!
Even if you work full-time, your income is considered high in an eighth-tier city like my hometown!
Moreover, with the experience and lessons from the old book, and the fact that the relationship with my girlfriend is now stable, I no longer need to spend time to maintain the relationship, and I can stabilize my mind and write.
It has been 154 days since I published the book. It currently has 1,145,000 words, an average of 7,500 words per day. I write books part-time and the updates are pretty good.
This month, 270,000 words and 96 chapters were updated, an average of three chapters per day, and 9,000 words per day, which is 30,000 more than last month.
However, there are no recommendations this month, and the results will definitely not be as good as last month.
I don’t know how much the contribution fee is, but there are a lot of rewards this month, which should be able to make up for some of the subscription fees.
Speaking of rewards, I am very grateful to the three leaders of this book, one grandmaster, two leaders, nine helmsmen, and 42 fans who are more than deacons.
Those who can become a deacon are basically rewarded.
Of course, there may be other brothers who have not subscribed to the book but have also given rewards. Thank you also!
The most important thing about a book is to subscribe, but if you can not only read the original subscription but also be willing to pay extra money to reward it, I would really appreciate it!
The three current alliance leaders are enough for me to brag about my awesomeness in the group of fellow authors for several days.
This is Pai Noodles!
Then there is the subscription. The current book subscription performance is average, with an average order of 1250. This month has not changed, after all, there is no recommendation.
But as the saying goes, be content and happy!
For me, that's enough.
Likewise, thank you to those who subscribed to this book!
The main source of paid books is subscription, and you are the one who feeds me!
It is you who enable me to not worry about other things and to write and create with peace of mind.
It’s also you who allowed me to come to the city to rent a house and write a book, despite my parents’ objections!
thank you all!
I know that there are many brothers who are not in very good conditions. I am very happy to be able to spend more than ten yuan a month to watch the genuine version and subscribe.
So you don’t have to worry about giving rewards.
Rewarding this thing is really random.
Rewards, alliance leaders, etc. are as rare as winning the lottery and depend on luck.
I am very grateful to you for the rewards if you have the conditions, but for brothers whose life is as difficult as mine, there is no need to waste money.
I am very grateful to you for subscribing to every chapter!
And the brothers who insist on voting every day.
Now I look at the fan list and look at the fan information. There are many brothers who come to vote every day, and they vote at about the same time every day.
If I didn't like it, I don't think I would be able to do this. After all, there are so many books in the library, and you all vote for me every day. It is definitely true love!
Thank you!
…
Now that I’m writing, I’m on the right track.
Even if I write full-time, I am confident that I can support myself.
If your grades are average, make up for it by diligently updating!
So, despite my parents' objections, I rented a house by myself in the county where I live. It cost 200 yuan a month, plus water and electricity. It only had enough room for a bed and a computer desk, so there wasn't much space left.
For the time being, I’m going to use a friend’s old computer. I’ll wait and see how much the monthly manuscript fee is when it comes out. In addition to living expenses, the cost of going to Shanghai, etc., if it’s enough, I’ll buy a computer. It’s too difficult to code on mobile phones, and my eyesight has been affected by this recently. Something is wrong.
In fact, my income is not low, and it’s not that I can’t save money, but in the past few months, I have transferred 5,000 yuan to my family every month from the publication fee. Because I built a house, my family owes me some money, so I thought I could help. point.
Moreover, my sister has just entered college. I transfer points to her every three to five times every month, so there is not much left.
So buying a computer has been postponed until now...
Let’s look at it for the time being. If you can’t buy it this month, then next month.
It’s not a problem to use old friends, and the lag is very high, and the blue screen will appear from time to time. I swallowed 2,500 manuscripts the day before yesterday...
So buying a computer is a must, and it will make typing faster.
Then, this semester was basically over, and the school didn’t have a holiday until the end of January, but I took a leave of absence and went home to study on my own.
Next year, I’ll just take the exam around the end of April, so I’m going to write books full-time.
Maybe around mid-to-late January, I will start a new book and write two books at the same time, 10,000 to 20,000 words a day. As long as the writing is not too stagnant, there will be no problem.
But as a result, the update of old books will definitely be slower, so let me tell you all the parents in advance.
Each month, the maximum is probably about 200,000 words, and it is unlikely that I will update more than 10,000 words per day. Anyway, I will try my best and update as much as I can.
After all, full-time work is different from part-time work. I still have to find time to read...
I argued with my parents for several days over this matter.
I also want to be able to go home in glory next year and tell them that my choice was right.
But do your best and let fate dictate.
The future is filled with many uncertainties.
I can only try my best, the rest depends on God's will...
If it doesn't work, the worst possible scenario is to find a job next year and start writing part-time again.
That's basically it.
Then, let’s talk about the New Year’s Day update that everyone is concerned about.
For the time being, I’ll settle on about ten chapters.
All are considered explosive updates.
Anyway, I have been sitting here typing all day, and I can write as much as I can.
If there are any additional updates, please allow me to return them slowly after New Year's Day.
Thanks again brothers.
Good night~
