Since then, Wang Laozhi became favored by Huizong and became famous. There was an endless stream of people who came to ask for advice. When ordinary people came to ask for hexagrams, Wang Laozhi would not say anything with his mouth, but would only write with his pen. After writing, I handed it over without saying much. Unexpectedly, what Wang Laozhi wrote turned out to be effective.
Therefore, the number of people asking Wang Laozhi became more and more, and sometimes there were long queues, which became a scene in Tokyo at that time.
Cai Jingzhong used Wang Laozhi to deceive Emperor Huizong, not to let him open a fortune-telling shop. Seeing that there were too many people coming to ask Wang Laozhi, Cai Jing was afraid of causing trouble and getting himself into trouble, so he invited Wang Laozhi to the Prime Minister's Mansion to discuss the matter with Wang Laozhi.
Cai Jing said to Wang Laozhi: "It is a great blessing that you went to the palace to see the Holy One and won the Holy One's trust. However, the ministers in the court have many factions. You must not have too much contact with others to avoid the Holy One's suspicion. Things like asking for divination. , the common people come to ask for help, deal with him casually, no need to say anything; if the ministers of the court ask for divination, you must not give them calculations, as the secret will be revealed, and you will get into trouble."
Cai Jing's words made Wang Laozhi think twice. Wang Laozhi is good at physiognomy and is very good at observing people. Now, Wang Laozhi has been in contact with Cai Jing for a long time, and he gradually discovered that Cai Jing had evil intentions and seemed to intend to control himself to achieve his goals. Therefore, Wang Laozhi felt unhappy and began to gradually alienate Cai Jing.
One day, Wang Laozhi made a copy of the Universe Mirror and presented it to Emperor Huizong, saying: "Your Majesty, since Laozhi came to Beijing for an audience, I have received great love. If I don't say what I have to say, it would be disloyal."
Huizong heard this and said: "If you have something to say, just say it directly. Don't stop talking and go around the mountains and rivers."
Wang Laozhi then said: "I am observing the fortune, and I am afraid that the emperor and his queen may encounter catastrophe in the future. Please ask the Holy One to sit quietly and reflect on the situation, so as to avoid disasters."
Emperor Huizong was shocked when he heard this. He didn't know what kind of disaster would be in the future, and he was secretly panicking.
Wang Laozhi then stood up and resigned.
Wang Laozhi resigned from the palace and went all the way to Cai Jing's house.
Seeing that Wang Laozhi, who had not been here for a long time, came to the house again, Cai Jing hurriedly asked Wang Laozhi to take his seat.
After Wang Laozhi took his seat, he chatted with Cai Jing.
Cai Jing asked Wang Laozhi: "How is Tianshi doing well?"
Wang Laozhi said: "Poverty Taoists are outsiders who have no desires or pursuits, so they cannot be said to be good or bad."
Cai Jing said: "Wherever there are people, there are also rivers and lakes. Even if the master is walking around in the court, how can he be detached from the world? Furthermore, the saint is working very hard on state affairs, so he should have a spiritual sustenance. The heavenly master might as well enlighten the saint from time to time. .”
Wang Laozhi was silent.
Cai Jing stared at Wang Laozhi closely, wondering what Wang Laozhi was thinking.
After a while, Wang Laozhi spoke and gave Cai Jing advice: "Thank you for your kindness. Since I came to Beijing, I have helped you a lot, and I am deeply grateful. However, I have a criticism that I hope you will adopt."
Cai Jing heard the words and said, "I would like to hear the details. Master, please tell me."
Wang Laozhi said: "It is good to advance bravely in the rapids; it is good to retreat bravely in the rapids, but you will not lose the great wisdom of life. I look at the fortune of the imperial court, and the future is not good. There may be invasion by foreign invaders in the future. I am grateful to you, and the world is complicated and changing. There are many reasons, so retreat when you should, and don’t be obsessed with power and position.”
When Cai Jing heard this, he secretly thought that it was normal for foreign invaders to invade. The Song Dynasty was always at war with the Khitan, Dangxiang, and Xifan. Isn't this a big deal? ! Just hit when it’s time to hit! Besides, I have worked hard and worked hard for this position. I finally won the position three times. How can I let it go easily if I have the rank of ministers?
Cai Jing loves power so much that he never listens to Wang Laozhi's kind words. He refuses to retreat bravely and accepts the good news.
After all, Wang Laozhi was a man who could judge the times and situation. Seeing that the government was deteriorating and crises were everywhere, he became discouraged. He only stayed in the court for less than a year, and then he wrote a letter asking to leave.
After Huizong received the letter, he examined it for a long time and finally refused.
Wang Laozhi wanted to go, so he pretended to be sick and begged to go.
Huizong had no choice but to let him go back to the mountain.
Not long after Wang Laozhi returned to the mountain, he fell ill and died of depression.
As far as Cai Jing is concerned, it is okay to lose Wang Laozhi; but it is not okay if there is no magic person to confuse and cajole Emperor Huizong.
In order to continue to confuse Emperor Huizong, Cai Jing made inquiries in many ways after Wang Laozhi left, and introduced an alchemist named Wang Zaixi to Emperor Huizong.
Wang Zaixi was a native of Hongzhou, and often practiced Confucianism. He said that he had met Xu Zhenjun, and he had learned the method of hiding the book in a big cave and opening up the seven yuan, so that he could know the future.
After Cai Jing heard the news, he sent someone to invite Wang Zaixi. He treated him as a distinguished guest and treated him very kindly. Instead of talking about the future, he could not help but do the above-mentioned method and instigate Wang Zaixi how to confuse and coax Emperor Huizong.
Cai Jing is the prime minister of a country and holds a high and powerful position. Wang Tsai was naturally flattered to be able to climb such a high branch.
Cai Jing pretended to be peaceful and talked happily with Wang Zaixi. They became close friends and recommended Wang Zaixi to the palace.
Because he was recommended by Grand Master Cai and the prime minister, Emperor Huizong paid great attention to him and summoned Wang Zaixi specially. The attention was enough, but because he didn't know what Wang Zaixi's abilities were, and because of the face recommended by Cai Jing, he gave him the title of King. Zaixi was a recluse, so he put it aside for the time being to see what he could do.
Not long after Cai Jing recommended Wang Zaixi to Emperor Huizong, the rivers dried up and the sea dried up, the land was scorched, the land was cracked, and droughts were raging. The Central Plains region suffered from a severe drought, and the earth was scorched for thousands of miles. In the palace, Emperor Huizong's beloved Concubine Liu Shu also became increasingly ill with her eyesight. . These two things made Huizong worried, so he sent Xiao Huangmen to Wang Zai's old place to ask for the magic talisman.
Xiaohuangmen came to see Wang Zaixi. After greeting each other, Xiaohuangmen said: "There is a severe drought in the Central Plains right now. The Holy Master is very anxious. He ordered the villain to come and ask for the magic talisman from the Master to alleviate the drought and save the victims."
After hearing what Xiaohuangmen said, Wang Zaixi smiled slightly and said to Xiaohuangmen: "The emperor's prayer today is not for drought, but actually to seek treatment for Concubine Liu Ai's eye disease. This is an important matter, and I will do it." Do your best." After saying that, Wang Zai used cinnabar and Fu seals, burned them into the soup, handed it to Xiao Huangmen, and told him: "Use this soup to wash your eyes, and your eye diseases will be cured immediately."
Xiaohuangmen returned with the soup and reported it to Huizong truthfully.
When Huizong heard this, he was shocked and said: "I went to the altar early in the morning. Although there was a drought, I also brought along a silent prayer for Concubine Shu to seek recovery. This is what I was thinking. How did this boy know it in the past? Since he has such magical powers. , I might as well let Concubine Shu give it a try, maybe it will work."
Huizong then ordered Concubine Liu Shu to wash her eyes with the cinnabar Fu seal brought by Xiaohuangmen.
Concubine Liu Shu said to Emperor Huizong: "Thank you very much for caring about me."
Immediately, Xiao Huangmen arranged for the imperial palace to add fire to the soup. After the soup boils, put the cinnabar Fu Fu seal into the soup. Continue to simmer until the soup boils, then stop. When the soup was warm, Xiao Huangmenduan and Liu Shufei washed their eyes.
Concubine Liu Shu used this soup to wash her eyes.
Emperor Huizong stayed aside and watched Concubine Liu Shu wash her eyes.
Not long after Concubine Liu Shu washed her eyes with Wangzi, the concubine's eye disease was indeed cured and she could see the light again.
Huizong was overjoyed when he saw this, and immediately ordered Wang Zaixi to come to the palace to see him.
When Prince Xi heard the imperial edict, he was so happy that he rushed to the palace like a mad dog chasing a wolf.
Wang Zai was eager to meet him, but even so, he still felt slow and wished he could put his hands on the ground and crawl like a dog so that he could rush to Emperor Huizong to claim credit and reward.
Wang Zixi rushed into the palace, saw Huizong, lay down on the ground, kowtowed three times, and shouted loudly: "Long live my emperor, long live, long live my emperor."
Huizong hurriedly said: "Ai Qing has a normal life. Ai Qing is a Taoist immortal, unlike ministers in the court, who do not need to perform the courtesy of a king and a minister."
Wang Zixi said: "Being in front of a holy master is like being in front of a deity, so etiquette must not be lost."
When Huizong heard this, he was puzzled, but he did not think deeply about it. He was just happy and immediately named Wang Zaixi Mr. Miaotong.
Wang Zaixi was so happy that he was awarded the title again. He got up and proudly became Mr. Miaotong.
Huizong gave Wang Zaixi a seat and asked, "Master, can you pray for rain?"
Wang Zaixi left his seat and repeated: "Now that Wang Wenqing, a distinguished scholar, is here, you can call him to pray for Yuze."
After hearing the memorial, Huizong immediately summoned Wang Wenqing into the palace and ordered him to pray.
Wang Wenqing played: "The Dragon Lords of Jiujiang, Four Seas and Five Lakes all followed the Jade Emperor's order to stop raining. Only the Yellow River God did not follow the wise order."
Huizong said: "In that case, why don't you make the Yellow River God make rain?"
Wang Wenqing kowtowed and led the edict. He set up an altar in the Taiyi Palace of the capital and prayed twice. When the sun rose up on the altar, he blessed and said: "The Emperor of the Song Dynasty borrowed three feet of water from the Yellow River to relieve the drought."
Wang Wenqing finished his congratulations, drew talismans and made talisman, and shouted loudly: "The rain is coming!"
As expected, the sweet rain fell immediately with the sound of drinking, and yellow rain began to fall all over the place, stirring up dust, and then water covered the earth.
This is the water of the Yellow River, so it is like this.
Huizong was overjoyed when he saw this! Wang Wenqing was immediately given the title of attendant of Ning Temple, Chongxu Guanmiao Tongxuan Zhenren.
At that time, there were mosquitoes in Jiezhou, which were causing trouble in the salt ponds and spread their aura for more than ten miles. People and animals were harmed by the aura, and many people were harmed. The local officials reported to the capital. When Huizong received the report, he was very anxious and ordered Wang Wenqing to go and treat it.
Wang Wenqing said: "Monsters are evil and should be controlled by heavenly masters. I dare not go further and infringe upon them. Now, Zhang Jixian, the heavenly master of the 30th generation of the Han Dynasty, has exquisite magic. If he orders mosquitoes to be controlled, he will definitely achieve great success."
After Huizong heard about it, he ordered Zhang Jixian to go to Jiezhou to treat flood dragons.
Within ten days after the edict was issued, the evil spirits had subsided.
Zhang Jixian came to see him, and Huizong asked him again and again, "What kind of monster are you trying to eliminate now?"
Zhang Jixian replied: "Chiyou was beheaded by Xuanyuan in the past, and later generations built a shrine beside the pool to worship him. Now the shrine has been abandoned, so it has been transformed into a dragon. It is a place where monsters seek sacrifices. Poor Taoists rely on the power of the saints. The spirit has been left behind and God will destroy it.”
Since Huizong's words were unfounded, he said: "What kind of general are you using? I would like to see him, so I won't have to worry about you."
Zhang Jixian said: "This is a trivial matter. The poor Taoist will be summoned immediately, and the god general will be the holy chariot."
After finishing speaking, Zhang Jixian began to play tricks on gods and ghosts. In an instant, two gods appeared in the sky in front of the palace. He is dressed in crimson clothes and gold armor, with a green scarf and a beautiful beard; a god is covered in armor and looks majestic.
Zhang Jixian pointed to the man with the golden armor and said: "Your Majesty, this is Guan, a general of Shu." Then he pointed to the man with the fingernail and the stomach and said: "Your Majesty, this is Shi Shi, the god of Ziming Mountain, as stated in the letter."
After Zhang Jixian finished speaking, the god had disappeared, and Huizong praised him very much! Then Zhang Duan was given the opportunity to see the official Xu Jing of Sanzhi first.
Because of these events, Huizong believed in Taoism more and more, so he ordered the Jade Qingyang Palace to be built in the east of Funing and the palace, enshrining Taoist statues, and paying homage every day and night.
At this point, Emperor Huizong was coaxed by Cai Jing and others to fall in love with the way of immortality.
