Remarks on the launch

It's on the shelves again.

While my mother-in-law was sick during the last book, I usually stopped reading because I was short on time and my grades were tight. This time when I encountered the love affair in Shanghai, I stopped reading again after entering the cabin. I guess God was working against me.

But it doesn't matter, the book has to be written, and there was so much to write about in the 19th century.

Regular readers must know that grades are not the main purpose of my writing books.

The last book was first ordered for 28. I insisted on finishing it to popularize infectious diseases and some internal diseases. At the same time, I also wanted to talk in detail about the domestic medical environment.

For this purpose, I wrote 2.8 million words successively, leaving only the last ten or so chapters and I still haven’t been able to finalize the ending.

After I can steadily update new books, I will slowly fill in the gaps of old books. I will not revise the old book. I will give the medical records to the protagonist group one by one and let them slowly solve them in the free extra chapters.

And this book has been updated intermittently for a month and a half before it got the first recommendation, so the results are definitely not good. The first order is expected to be in the early 100s, and I will definitely finish writing it, because what I want to popularize is the details of surgical operations, and of course it will also satisfy my own desire to collect and organize.

The performance problems are probably the result of a combination of several factors.

First, the subject matter is somewhat unpopular.

After all, not many people go to see modern medical treatment. Most of them go there just for the pleasure, not for the medicine itself. After a large number of readers have been streamlined, even fewer people can still care about how modern medicine has grown to this point.

The second is the issue of update volume.

The workload of this book is very heavy. In fact, I didn’t want to write about surgery originally because of the workload. Surgery is really difficult to explain clearly in words. Maybe readers don’t mind and just want to see it for fun. But after all, it is my job. If I can’t write clearly, I will feel uncomfortable all over.

Therefore, I have always believed that for popular science surgery, it must be accompanied by pictures, and the pictures should be understandable by non-medical professionals.

Furthermore, there is very little information on the 19th century. I had to dig out pdf files of medical journal photos that were preserved before World War I, and I also had to find an e-book that summarized the surgical atlas of the time.

Almost all in English, it is very difficult to chew.

Finally, there is the professional gap. Surgery has many branches. Even general surgery has several development routes, which are separated by mountains. In the 19th century, there were no divisions into disciplines. I had to read through all the surgical materials and understand them thoroughly before I could put them into a book. This took a lot of time.

This keeps my update volume at a maximum of 4,000 words per day. Including the notes for this chapter that are not included in the word count, it is really not fast enough.

The third is plot control.

Working in the cabin is eight or eight shifts, from 8 am to 8 pm, and from 8 pm on the second day to 8 am on the third day, with a rest of 1-2 days, and then continue to the next round. The workload is too heavy, and sometimes when my mind wanders, I open my notebook and type.

To be honest, Mick's line was put up too early, and he should have taken his time. At that time, he probably considered that renting a house was not stable, and wanted to solve the housing problem as soon as possible, so he put up the hidden line in advance.

It doesn't make sense to say this now. Anyway, the tone of this book is surgery, coupled with a small amount of drug experiments.

As for Mick, let him slowly fade out of sight. Maybe there will be a need to get him in the future, but the length will not be too long. If there are readers who really don't like this, you can skip it directly. I can still guarantee the quality of medicine, as was the case with the last book.

If the picture hangs, it may be due to manual review, which is very slow and there is nothing I can do about it. If you are in a hurry, you can join the group and ask me for it. The group number is at the end of the first chapter.

As for not selling it if it’s a misfortune, I’m used to it anyway, it’s just my interest in writing, as long as everyone can get some medical knowledge from the plot.

I won’t update today and will be lazy to take a rest. Tomorrow I will update 8,000 words twice when I open VIP. The plot is slowly reaching the climax of cesarean section. I hope everyone can come and support it.

========

ps: Although I know that the results of this book are a mess, I still want to mention that if the leader adds five updates, he can also get high-quality supporting roles.

Thanks:

Mr. Mao (double alliance in the previous book, VIP group leader);

I am not fond of apples, I am not fond of folding quilts (the boss of Apple, the supporting role is about to appear), and I will join the alliance immediately;
