"Then, does that mean that as long as we practice well, we can rise from ordinary people to become saints? So, what exactly is a saint?"
Confucius' questions were always very direct.
Sakyamuni was not in a hurry, looked at Xiao Kongqiu with a smile, and continued to talk:
"The so-called 'saints' refer to the four types of people who have transcended the three realms of desire, color and formlessness, escaped from the cycle of life and death, and have been completely liberated. They are called 'saints'"
"Ah! So that's it! In other words, the so-called 'saint' means that there are great principles in this world. Whoever can fully understand and master them first will have a higher level! He can figure it out for himself, and he can also understand it. Someone who has been taught by others and understands it thoroughly is the highest Buddha; someone who understands himself and can let others understand, but whose knowledge level is not high enough is called a "Bodhisattva"; someone who can learn by himself without a teacher Those who understand are called "enlightenment"; those who can only understand after listening to lectures are called "sravakas". These four types of people are all "sages", that is, masters who have mastered the truth and the great road of the world. This is Do you mean it?"
Lao Dan carefully understood Sakyamuni's description of the "four kinds of saints" and translated it into his own version that was easy to understand and said it out.
"Well, it seems that you have reached the 'Sravaka' level! Not bad, not bad, little friend Lao Dan, you are very wise! You are expected to become a saint in the future!"
Shakya praised.
"Haha, thank you, Master! - By the way, thank you Buddha. Now that you understand everything, who among the four of us here can become a 'saint' in the future?"
Confucius became naughty again and asked.
Although Xinwu, who was Wenzi, already knew the answer, he still resisted saying it because he wanted to hear what the omniscient and omnipotent Buddha, Sakyamuni, had to say.
"Young friend Confucius, if you can ask this, it shows that you already have the consciousness and ambition to become a 'saint'; and little friend Lao Dan's theory of 'grasping the truth' is also beginning to show signs of being a 'sage'; as for little friend Wenzi, As a friend, you can "infinitely" transmit it to ancient and modern times, at home and abroad, and make "self-consciousness" and "awareness of others" become more smooth and seamless, which is a meritorious deed, and there is no greater good!"
Shakya's answer was perfect.
Since he implicitly mentioned the "cause" of Confucius who might become a Confucius saint in the future, and the article seemed to praise but actually stated that "he has no share in becoming a saint", he only did it on the level of 'technique'. Not bad!
Xin Wu in Wenzi's version was immediately impressed by the Buddha's unique vision.
"Sure enough, you can see everything, it's amazing!"
Just when Xin Wu was thinking that he had to raise a shocking and extremely valuable new question, he suddenly discovered that there was a curtain not far away with some vague shadows on it:
Those are three strange people:
When they are sitting, they are one, two, and three respectively; but when they stand up, it becomes interesting: the shortest "one" has two long legs; the middle "two" has a pair of short legs; and the upper body The longest "three" has no legs at all!
The "shadows" of these three strange people completely attracted Xin Wu's attention, and Wang Li was behind the scenes, trying hard to collect the "timeline" of the four people in the "peak forum" sharing time. Unconsciously, it slipped to the end.
"Master, what's going on with these three people?"
Xin Wu turned his head and called "Master" several times, only to find that the master had disappeared long ago; and his friends Lao Dan and Kong Qiu who were sitting together were also missing.
"Brother Dan! Brother Confucius! Master! You all left the show without even saying hello! It's so rude!"
Xin Wu was a little panicked now, looking around and shouting loudly.
Unfortunately, there was no response.
It seemed that everything just now was just a 'dream'.
It’s just a little “hallucination”!
Xin Wu looked at the three strange figures again, but they also disappeared.
"Could it be that these three shadows are the medium through which these three people escape? It's too much! Prepare one even if you don't even give it to me. Oh, that's right! The three of them are all 'saints', and only I, shit None! Alas! Forget it! I am lucky enough to be able to sit at the same table with the three great saints, hear their voices with my own ears, and see their voices and smiles with my own eyes! I am still complaining! Hi!"
Xin Wu touched his head, smiled bitterly, and laughed at himself. He explained for himself, and finally set up a step for himself to get down steadily.
"No discrimination, no discrimination..."
Just as Xin Wu was getting a taste of this "non-differentiation", he suddenly felt a salty taste in his mouth, which went straight into his throat.
"Bah - what is this?"
"Ouch! Damn, you finally woke up! You scared me to death!"
Xinwu opened his eyes, and there was a big hand in front of him. He was taking something out of his mouth, and he was biting it!
"Lier! What are you doing? Why are you putting your dirty hands in my mouth? Whose blood is this?"
"Whose? It's mine, your brother! Damn it! It's not easy to wake you up from this broken dream! What happened to you just now? It's like you're going to sleep to death! You're foaming at the mouth, You are talking nonsense, it scares me to death! I don’t know what you are talking about when you are mumbling this and that, and you don’t even know what you are talking about!”
Wang Li took out the bitten middle finger from Xin Wu's mouth and held it in his mouth, greedily sucking on the blood that was seeping out of it, and complained quickly.
"Ah?! I'm sorry! I didn't mean it! But, why did I bite your finger?"
Xinwu realized that it was his own mouth that had bitten Wang Li's finger. He was very embarrassed and apologized quickly.
"I have to ask you! You were like that just now, rolling your eyes and spitting. I thought you had epilepsy? I was afraid that your tongue would block your own throat and cause suffocation, so I stretched out my hand. Go help you pull out your tongue! I just put it in and haven't had time to clamp it yet. Your tongue is so slippery. Not only did it slide away immediately, but the upper and lower rows of teeth also used force to pull me out. My delicate jade fingers were bitten so hard that it hurt! I didn’t even scream, but you started screaming!”
Wang Li spit out his injured middle finger, carefully examined the small wound on it that was bitten by Xin Wu, and couldn't help but complain again.
"Oh, then, thank you!"
Xin Wu doesn’t know whether to thank me or not, but I’d better say thank you first! After all, this dream was too important to him; and it was really necessary for Wang Li to rescue him safely from this dream.
