This feeling is amazing. In the past, I might not have had any special thoughts at all, but since I started practicing cultivation, my feelings have become extremely keen.

There is only one reason for this discomfort, and that is the opposite of the yang energy in my body, yin energy! !

Because of this, I am extremely sensitive to the feeling of yin energy.

But now, with the blue sky and white sun, the world is bright and clear, this feeling appears for no reason, which is strange!

I turned around and looked up at the house in front of me. I was almost certain that the uncomfortable feeling came from the house in front of me.

This is an old house with a full sense of age and is almost out of place with the surrounding houses. It has obviously not been renovated in more than ten years.

Outside is a small courtyard, with a main room inside, and next to it should be a kitchen or toilet, which is in line with the structure of an average house.

The red skin on the two doors had almost peeled off, but when I saw what was on the door clearly, I couldn't help but be a little curious, so I couldn't help but step forward and take a look!

As we all know, in rural areas, couplets are affixed to the doors of double doors. Some more traditional families will affix classical door gods to the doors to guard the house and ward off evil spirits.

Unfortunately, there is a pair of door gods posted on the door of this house.

If it were an ordinary door god, I might take one look and pass by, but the door god on this door is different!

The so-called door god, that is, the god who guards the door, is a type of painting posted on the door during the Lunar New Year. As a god who guards the door in folk belief, people affix its statue on the door to ward off evil and avoid ghosts, protect the home, ensure peace, support utility, and bring good luck. It is a very popular patron saint among Chinese people.

According to traditional customs, on the eve of the Spring Festival, every household gets busy writing couplets and door gods to pray for blessings in the coming year.

Generally speaking, according to normal customs, the portraits of door gods on the door are mostly Qin Shubao and Yuchi Gong, that is, during the Sui and Tang Dynasties, they were the two meritorious ministers Qin Qiong and Yuchi Jingde who helped King Li Shimin of Qin to overthrow the Sui Dynasty and establish the Li and Tang dynasties.

Since the Yuan Dynasty, folk romances and dramas have become increasingly powerful. The earliest legend about Qin Qiong as the door god is that after Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty became emperor, he would often hear or see ghosts at night, which would frighten him. For this reason, General Qin Qiong volunteered and said, "Yu Chigong and I will be wearing armor to guard the palace gate for Your Majesty at night!" As a result, the ghost did not appear again that night.

But even so, Qin Qiong and Yuchi Gong couldn't stand guard every day, so they later asked a painter to draw their portraits and paste them on the palace gate. They could also play a role in guarding the house and warding off evil spirits. Over time, this This method spread from the palace, and the common people also rushed to imitate it. This is the origin of the door god.

But in fact, before Qin Qiong and Yuchi Gong, door gods had already appeared, but they were just not as famous as these two!

It is said that the demon-catching master Zhong Kui also served as the door god for a period of time.

However, they are not consistent with the two people posted on this person's door.

Normal door gods are heroic and majestic, but the door gods on the door of this house are two ugly, ghost-like people. These two are holding a sword, one is facing up and the other is facing down. , let alone being a door god to exorcise ghosts, even ordinary people can drink it.

Looking at this portrait, if I guessed correctly, these two are the earliest images of door gods that existed widely in the world before Qin Qiong and Yuchi Gong, Shen Tu Yulei! !

The so-called gods Tu Yulei are two gods who can subdue evil spirits in ancient legends. They were born in the late Shang Dynasty and early Zhou Dynasty. Later generations regarded them as door gods, and their portraits were ugly and fierce.

According to legend, in ancient times, Shen Tu and Yu Lei were brothers. Both brothers were good at catching ghosts. If an evil ghost came out to harass people, Shen Tu and Yu Lei would capture it and tie it up to feed the tigers. Later, in order to drive away evil spirits, people would paint images of gods, gods, and tigers on their doors, which would also have the effect of driving away ghosts and avoiding evil spirits, and this has been passed down to this day. The name on the left door is Shen Tu, and the name on the right door is Yu Lei.

This is the image of the door god that was widely circulated before Qin Qiong and Yu Chigong. It is basically invisible now. If you don’t believe it, take a look in some rural areas. Where can you see a ghost-like door god painted on the door?

And right now, this is what is painted on the door of this family's house.

There are traces of Yin Qi leaking out in the yard, and there is an image of Shen Tu Yu Lei on the door, all of which reveal weirdness. Combining these two points, if I say there is nothing wrong with this family, then there is really a ghost. Got it!

Taking a deep breath, out of curiosity, I stepped forward and knocked on the door of this house. If I didn't understand the details inside, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to leave with peace of mind.

As the door knocker was knocked, not long after, the sound of slight footsteps came over.

Immediately afterwards, there were creaking and creaking sounds, and the door was slowly opened a crack.

"Young man, who are you looking for?"

The door opened, an old voice came out, and an old woman stuck her head out.

I didn't answer the old woman's question immediately, but looked into the house along the gap in the door.

From what I looked at, there were white elegiac couplets hanging in the yard. In the middle of the hall, there seemed to be a table with a photo on it.

If I guessed correctly, this family should be having a funeral!

Could it be that the yin energy I just felt was due to a recent death in this family?

Am I just overthinking it?

No, the yin energy of the dead will not be so strong that I can feel it outside the yard.

"Mother-in-law, I was passing by. It's my first time here. I saw that many places are not open. I would like to ask, where is the place to stay?"

I deliberately found a topic to distract the old woman's attention. Then, as soon as I opened and closed my eyes, Yang Qi was injected into me, and my heavenly eyes opened instantly.

With the help of my clairvoyance, I scanned the yard through the gaps.

However, it doesn't matter. Under the eyes of the sky, the originally peaceful courtyard actually rose up with large tracts of Yin Qi. Its intensity was so strong that it almost encompassed the entire courtyard!
