Seventy-two hours after the incident, Luo Binhan began to feel that he needed to leave the Silence for once.
That definitely didn't mean that he planned to escape from the dangerous core of the bomb privately and fall into the gentle and affectionate embrace of the stars. He just thought that dying in a black hole would be a good thing now. While Jing Huang continued to exude a dangerous aura, even foreign guests such as Bang Bang remained alert and silent, hiding themselves in the corner like a stick.
The culprit responsible for this accident - Luo Binhan certainly did not think it was him - the so-called "Possibility Department Store Catalog Terminal" had been permanently damaged as soon as the accident occurred. But when Jing Huang's black jade scimitar raged through the air like a whirlwind, the puppet roly-poly above his head disappeared in the blink of an eye from Luo Binhan. Luo Binhan did not rush to find it, but decisively hugged his head and lay down on the ground. Then he heard some kind of sharp roar. He quietly moved his eyes over and saw that the big red button on the vending machine was shining like never before, like the warning light in a movie about a military base that is about to be detonated.
Luo Binhan stared at it until the black scimitar split the vending machine in two. He couldn't tell much about what happened next. He only remembered that he was wrapped in a colorful light bubble. Later, in the process of reconstructing that room, ∈ provided the complete story of what happened. He told Luo Binhan that everyone was locked in an independent light bubble at that time (the gadget on the captain! Do you know that?), and the vending machine exploded after being damaged by external forces without any accident, and the inside of the machine exploded. It shoots out various strange light particles with enough energy to destroy Silence three or four times. This major accident did not happen in the end because the thickest and largest colored light bubble covered the vending machine. When the explosion just started, it smashed through the nearest wall and rushed out of the Silence. When the most violent explosion began, the aftermath of the planetary explosion could still be seen from Silence, which was already hundreds of miles away.
"You shouldn't offend him." ∈ complained while wiping away tears, "He is a bad boy! Bad boy! He just throws all the things he doesn't like out of the spacecraft, but who is responsible for repairing the walls he broke? Yes. Me! He only cares about himself!"
Luo Binhan responded to him perfunctorily, but in his heart he felt that this was not his responsibility at all. He had tried to remedy the situation at the last moment before disaster struck, but the emergence of ∈ ruined this last chance. If they had to discuss responsibility in the matter, he figured he and ∈ would at least be on the same page.
"I didn't expect him to be so angry." Luo Binhan admitted. When he saw the words on the lid of the box, he felt that the situation was not good, but he never expected that it would lead to a disaster of such a scale. Even if Jing Huang rushed over and beat him up, it wouldn't surprise him more.
"You didn't stay long enough." ∈ said sadly, "He was like this before and couldn't tolerate any warm family topics. The last time someone expressed his willingness to be his father, he scolded the unfortunate guy until he suffered from neurological dysfunction - —I mean, he didn’t do anything, he just spoke, do you understand?”
"Can't you mention his father?" Luo Binhan asked doubtfully.
"Oh, that's not the case. I think he's quite receptive to some subjects. I've looked through all the surveillance records on this ship - I mean the ones before I came on board. It looks like he and the ship's officer are having an affair. We often spent time together in the bridge room watching popular Alliance movies and TV shows. I remember one of the plots was that the hero’s son killed the villain. I saw that he was very happy watching it at the time and had no objection at all.”
∈ Touched his chin, nodded, and concluded solemnly: "He has violent tendencies."
Luo Binhan thought this was not an issue that needed to be discussed at all. He said seriously: "I don't think we need to shoot backwards."
"What's the reverse shot?"
"The son of a pirate killed me, a hero." Luo Binhan said, "With his father's job, he can be featured in a public legal column, right?"
∈I immediately stopped chatting with Luo Binhan. He wandered up and down the corridor, mumbling something. Luo Binhan listened to a few words briefly and realized that he was drafting a speech to be used when attending the legal column.
At that moment, Luo Binhan felt strongly that this was not possible. Upsilon is still missing, Bangbang's thesis is destined to be thrown into the wind, and even the one-dollar vending machine that can bring unknown fun has turned into free dust in the universe. Nothing good has happened these days.
He decided to go talk to Yalayliga about this matter, so he woke up ∈, who was immersed in his sorrowful speech, and asked him if Yalayliga was in the bridge room at the moment. The answer he got was no. Just like what Yaleriga often did these days, she wandered around the ship to check, and then hid in a private room that could not be monitored. ∈ believes that she is most likely carrying out a conspiracy to usurp the throne.
Luo Binhan didn't have much hope in his guess. He walked towards Yaleriga's room with a little curiosity and anxiety. On the way, he noticed a black shadow shaking in the corner. When they came closer, Luo Binhan saw clearly that it was a puppet roly-poly that was completely black.
It was swaying leisurely around the corner, as if it had been abandoned here not long ago. Luo Binhan picked it up without any surprise, put it in the palm of his hand and tapped it.
"The old man is out for a walk again?" he asked kindly.
The roly-poly was swaying, its dull eyes facing Luo Binhan, his expression full of sadness. Luo Binhan used to feel uneasy about its vivid expression, but now he is completely used to it. The mini-father has been determined not to be aggressive in any way and is not a living being on a puppet. It only has some "character"-like behavior patterns, and one ability that almost caused a huge disaster: when it is not watched by any living body, this legless father can freely move within a range of about three meters. It can teleport, and if you ignore it for longer, it can even wander aimlessly in the cabin on its own.
That may sound scary, but the actual experience is actually not that overwhelming. Although the puppet tumbler moves without any obstacles (except for the wooden box it contains), it never tries to get stuck in any too narrow space, let alone teleport into a person's face or body. In fact, this "mini-father" shows almost no interest in any external creatures, as long as the other party is not Jing Huang. And if Jing Huang appears within its "sight" range, the puppet roly-poly will seize every opportunity to climb on Jing Huang's head, wobbling among the curls of hair and worrying.
Luo Binhan pushed it with his fingers again, making it sway violently in his palm. He looked at the sad expression carved by the simple facial features, and unconsciously pondered the meaning. "An ideally customized mini-father" sounds like some kind of tailor-made companion robot. The wooden companion robot was not surprising to Luo Binhan at all, because he had seen Poppa, which was much cuter than any human cub of the same size. There was no doubt that it would be popular with many people - but who would want a full-sized robot? Where is the companionship of the roly-poly with a sad face?
Is this some kind of contrasting joke between the White Tower vending machine and them? Just to take revenge on Jing Huang for being rude? Or maybe Jing Huang hates the role of his father so much that he would rather see a symbol that is wallowing in sorrow all day long? Luo Binhan couldn't help but notice the fact that although the roly-poly was thrown to the corner of the spacecraft away from the bridge room by Jing Huang, it was not damaged by any external force. There were no traces of burns or cuts, and he even continued to wander around the territory of Silence, looking for a head to place himself. The pirate leader didn't want to see it, but he didn't seem to intend to destroy it. It was like letting a cat like to take a walk.
Luo Binhan sighed. He poked the roly-poly's wooden head and let it continue to sway vigorously in sorrow.
"Let's go, old man," he said to the tumbler, "I'll take you to meet the young master's godmother?"
The roly-poly swayed forward and back, its eyes outlined with silver pen staring silently at the front of the passage.
Luo Binhan thought this was a kind of approval. He put the roly-poly in his pocket and strode towards Yaleriga's room.
