"Of course, of course. [Read the latest chapter]" Wu Nanhai had a knowing expression on his face.

After the brief and grand opening ceremony, Ma Qianxu symbolically pulled the feed switch, and the two thousand firecrackers that had been prepared immediately went off. With the cheers of the crowd, the ceremony was over. No Fangcaodi students came to help. There are no banquets or other similar "atmosphere" content.

Recently, the General Office of the Senate issued a notice on "Practice Diligence and Thrift and Oppose Extravagance and Waste", requiring all departments and senators to minimize unnecessary celebrations and reduce expenses on official entertainment and etiquette, so the scene was much smaller. However, the usual visits after the groundbreaking ceremony are indispensable.

Visiting and studying is the most effective means of brainwashing, so the Senate never misses any such great opportunity. This group of Tiandihui customers have already tried a small amount of chemical fertilizers and have already experienced the magical effect of this "fertilizer powder". I heard that this factory specializes in producing "fertilizer powder" and they all want to see what this "fertilizer powder" is like. How was it made? Everyone was excited to follow Ji Tuisi to visit the modern fertilizer production.

Lingao No. 1 Fertilizer Factory has a great reputation and occupies a large area of land. However, it has only built supporting projects of 10,000 tons of ordinary calcium phosphate and 4,000 tons of sulfuric acid. There is also a large area of free land in the factory area, which is reserved for new projects in the future.

The superphosphate production line uses a large amount of sulfuric acid. According to the annual production capacity of 10,000 tons, 3,800 tons of sulfuric acid are needed every year. Such a large amount of sulfuric acid cannot be transported from the current sulfuric acid plant and coal coking combined plant, but the chemical industry lacks the ability to travel long distances. A large number of safe transportation containers; secondly, triacids and dibases are basic products in the chemical industry. From this point of view, the more production capacity, the better. Although sulfuric acid plants and coal coking combined plants can produce a large amount of sulfuric acid, they need to be used in many places. For enterprises such as fertilizer plants that require stable supply all year round, it is more appropriate to build their own supporting facilities.

The superphosphate production line consists of three workshops: 14×7 square meters for drying, 14×10 square meters for forming, and 245×10 square meters for packaging. It includes a 30 square meter drying pit, a 25 square meter vibrating screen, and a semi-continuous forming workshop. 10 sets of equipment including chamber, elevator, sulfuric acid high-level tank, mixing pot, etc. The employee quota is 150 and covers an area of 0,264 hectares.

This project requires 5,600 tons of phosphate rock every year, so the Planning Institute specially arranged a 200-ton transport ship to transport struvite to and from the Xisha Islands. Moreover, the original electricity consumption of 10 kilowatt hours per ton has been replaced by steam engines to provide power, which requires thousands of tons of coal supply every year.

3,800 tons of sulfuric acid raw materials are provided by the supporting 4,000 tons sulfuric acid workshop. The sulfuric acid workshop covers an area of 33×16 square meters and has a quota of 50 employees. 4,892 tons of pyrite are needed every year, and a 200-ton transport ship is specially equipped to transport it back from the Shangen pyrite mine in Wanning. 440,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity per year need to be converted into corresponding steam power - it is estimated that 4,000 tons of coal are consumed. In addition, 400,000 tons of industrial water are needed every year.

The visitors watched the huge steel machine running continuously. The smell of sulfur is pungent and unpleasant, and piles of gray stones and soil are continuously thrown into the giant steel mouth, eventually becoming "fertilizer powder" that can increase production by applying it. They can somewhat understand whether Tiandi will make compost or the like - after all, compost is also a type of farmyard manure. But this kind of thing that can increase production with only stone powder is beyond their understanding.

Everyone was shocked, thinking of the leaders holding huge power and iron in their hands to seize the opportunity of creation. Not only do I feel awe and fear in my heart, but I also have greater vision for the bright future of Lingao. He is more confident in the future of himself and his family.

But for Ji Sixui, the current situation is not good at all. There are too many places that require chemical products in industrial upgrading, starting from the equipment manufacturing industry. Military industry, agriculture, medicine... almost all of them place various demands on the chemical industry. However, so far, not many of these demands can be met by the chemical industry. Even if they can be produced, most of them have insufficient production capacity.

This aspect is first of all limited by materials. Chemical production equipment requires many corrosion-resistant materials and special steels, which currently cannot be met by their metallurgical industry base, and ceramics and glass have to be widely used as manufacturing materials for many chemical equipment. Although the corrosion resistance of these two materials is good, their sources are also very wide. However, the material has limited mechanical properties and processability. It can only be used to make some small equipment and components as substitutes. This also makes most of the newly built chemical companies in Lingao almost expand their laboratory production several times.

Moreover, the Ministry of Chemical Industry does not have enough manpower: chemical plants pollute a lot and cause many work-related injuries. Hundreds of people are killed or injured every year due to various accidents. And it goes without saying that the appearance of the dead and injured is very terrifying - under the current medical level of Lingao, most of the injured in chemical accidents will not survive. Those who managed to get back through treatment were only moderately disabled.

Despite measures to strictly block news of the accident and provide generous benefits, many naturalized citizens who knew the inside story were still reluctant to work in chemical plants. Indentured slaves without personal freedom could only be assigned to work in chemical companies. If not for the large number of indentured slaves brought in by Operation Engine, his plan to expand the scale of employment would have been difficult to realize immediately.

Ji Situi suffered from huge demand, poor equipment, untrained workers, frequent accidents, and an intermittent supply of raw materials. He had gray hair after struggling.

After visiting the production line and letting the customers of Tiandihui go their separate ways, Wu Nanhai and Ji Tuisi took the "urban train" back to Bairen City.

Seeing that Ji Sixui's expression was relatively relaxed, Wu Nanhai took out a "Chuqing Limited Edition" and handed it over, taking the opportunity to say: "Old Ji, I heard that the production of ammonium bicarbonate is relatively simple, as long as there is anthracite coal. And it is more suitable for the acidic soil here than ammonium sulfate. Do you think the next step can be to put it on line? We also have a huge gap in nitrogen fertilizer now..."

"Old Wu, do you think we haven't thought about this? Back then, many of TG's small chemical fertilizer projects were ammonium bicarbonate projects. Now we have no problem with the supply of anthracite. But the problem has come full circle and come back," Ji Tuisi He lit a cigar and started talking: "Our 800 tons of synthetic ammonia use Hou Debang's joint carbonization method, which is common in small nitrogen fertilizer plants. Otherwise, where do you think the ammonium bicarbonate provided to you now comes from?"

The current 800-ton ammonia production project of the chemical plant uses the combined carbon method invented by Hou Debang in 1958. The synthesis process uses anthracite as raw material to first produce semi-water gas, which, after removing hydrogen sulfide, enters the pressurized shift reaction system to obtain a mixed gas of nitrogen, hydrogen and carbon dioxide. The mixed gas enters the carbonization tower, where carbon dioxide reacts with ammonia water with a concentration of about 17% to generate ammonium bicarbonate crystals, which are separated by a centrifuge to obtain the ammonium bicarbonate product.

The raw material gas after removing carbon dioxide, after further removing residual carbon dioxide and a small amount of carbon monoxide, enters the ammonia synthesis system to produce ammonia water.

Ammonia water can either enter the carbonization tower to make ammonium bicarbonate, or it can be used as raw material to make other chemical products.

This combined production method can also produce a small amount of sulfuric acid, which is a production method with low energy consumption and high output.

Wu Nanhai was disappointed: "So it's still a question of the scale of synthetic ammonia production."

"That's right." Ji Tuisi said, "If you don't have synthetic ammonia, you have to find a way to stably import saltpeter from the mainland. This is unlikely. Even if the Ming Dynasty ignored it and the roads were smooth, the production capacity of time and space would not be enough. It is possible to meet our needs; or establish a shipping route for Chilean saltpeter across the Pacific now..."

"That's even more impossible." Wu Nanhai shook his head, "We still have to build our own mining site."

"That's right, so the only way left is to light up the technology tree of self-produced ammonia equipment as soon as possible and expand production capacity." Ji Tuisi said meaningfully, "Equipment manufacturing is still the foundation of everything."

"You are right." Wu Nanhai said, "I think everyone understands this truth. It should be mentioned more at the meeting."

Ji Tuisi smiled: "Let's not talk about the equipment problem for now. Let's talk about the 4,000-ton sulfuric acid supporting project in this factory. It plans to use pyrite, which requires 5,000 tons a year. But we can now mine the mountain roots in Wanning County. Pyrite, in history, has only produced more than a thousand tons per year at most. It is not enough for the current sulfuric acid plant. Even if Yamane Pyrite reaches its historical maximum production capacity immediately next year, I still don’t know the new gap of 5,000 tons. Where can I find it..."

Wu Nanhai broke out in a cold sweat after hearing this. If the sulfuric acid supporting equipment was not enough, wouldn't his annual 10,000 tons of ordinary calcium phosphate be in ruins? He quickly asked:

“Are there no other pyrite mines in Hainan?”

"Yes, yes, but mining and transportation are inconvenient, and the conditions are not as favorable as those of Shangen: just dig them out on the beach and use rail cars to pull them directly to the beach for shipment." Ji Tuisi smoked a cigar, "The opinion of the Planning Academy is to expand the sulfur content of Shangen first. The mining of iron ore and the import of natural sulfur from Taiwan..."

Taiwan, like the Ryukyu Islands and the Japanese Islands, has a large number of natural sulfur deposits due to active geological activities. It was already an important export commodity in the Qing Dynasty.

"It wouldn't be bad if we could transport a large amount of natural sulfur. Our agricultural demand for sulfur is also huge."

"It's mainly about transportation capacity and manpower. Speaking of Taiwan, Hualien has a large amount of serpentine. If it can be mined and transported back on a large scale, it is much simpler to use the blast furnace method to make calcium magnesium phosphate fertilizer than superphosphate, and there is no need for supporting equipment. Sulfuric acid project..."

"Taiwan is really a treasure land of Feng Shui."

The two people talked all the way. Soon they arrived at their respective stations. It was already three o'clock in the afternoon when Wu Nanhai returned to the office of the Committee of Agriculture. He sat down and took out a black leather secret memorandum from the locked drawer. This was specially used by him to record some sensitive and important matters. There is a paragraph written on it.
