The monks surrounded the Buddha like stars surrounding the moon.

One of the monks who was in meditation actually seemed to be on fire, burning with golden light, shining and shining in all directions.

After the Buddha Fusha came out of samadhi, Tamalyu stepped forward and saluted and asked: "The light emitted by this bhikkhu is very special. What kind of samadhi has he entered that can emit such brilliance?"

Fusha Buddha told him: "He has entered the samadhi of loving-kindness."

King Tamaluzhi immediately made a vow: "This Samadhi of Loving Kindness is as majestic as a mountain, bright and bright, and can bring hope and joy to people. I will also practice this Samadhi of Loving Kindness."

Buddha Fusha immediately taught him the practice of Loving Kindness Samadhi.

After the king accepted this magical samadhi, his heart became very soft and kind.

He invited the Buddha to come to his great country in order to save more sentient beings.

Fshafo agreed immediately.

When Bo Sage heard that the Buddha was going to leave with King Tamariuzhi, he couldn't help but feel a trace of sadness in his heart.

He thought: If I were a great king, wouldn’t the Buddha always live here with me? I just blame myself for being a little king, so I can't do whatever I want and be free.

He asked the Buddha, "Among all the kings, which one is the greatest?"

Fusha Buddha told him, "It is the Holy King of Chakravartin."

Bosaiqi then swore, "I have been supporting Buddha and bhikkhus for a long time, and with the power of my merits, I am willing to be born as a reincarnating holy king in the future!"

Sakyamuni Buddha told Ananda: "The Tamalyu branch at that time is today's Maitreya. Because he had this kind heart and practiced the Samadhi of loving kindness in that life, he was always able to bring joy to people, and since then From then on, his name was always Maitreya."

Maitreya, the free translation is Cishi.

Bodhisattva is a symbol of great mercy, Maitreya is a symbol of great mercy, and Avalokitesvara represents great compassion.

The purpose of great kindness is to bring joy to all living beings; the purpose of great compassion is to relieve the suffering of all living beings.

Great compassion is the heart of Buddha. Maitreya Bodhisattva embraces all sentient beings with unconditional kindness, so he is also called the "Mercy Bodhisattva".

Ashido was thoughtful and said hesitantly: "Then I..."

Shakyamuni Buddha smiled and said: "Ashita, you are the original Bo Saiqi. Since you sought to be a reincarnating holy king in that life, you have always been a reincarnating holy king from then on. Until today, your merits are endless, so you Now he has vowed to become a reincarnating holy king."

The Wanghai Tower is shining brightly,

The embankment protecting the river is white and clear sand.

The sound of waves echoes at the enlisted member's temple at night,

Willow color spring hides Su Xiaojia.

The red sleeves and woven damask praise the persimmon stems,

Qingqi sells wine while the pear blossoms bloom.

Who drives Hushi Southwest Road?

The grass green skirt has a slanted waist.

After the Buddha finished chanting, he continued, "Back then, Bai Juyi, the prefect of Hangzhou, was holding wine in the wind on the Wanghai Tower by the West Lake and reciting this song "Spring Outlook in Hangzhou". What he saw in his eyes was the Baisha Embankment. .”

The solitary mountain connected by the white sand embankment and the looming Gushan Temple on the solitary mountain.

Now, Budai monk and Liu Junzuo are standing in the Gushan Plum Blossom Pavilion, which is exactly the opposite direction to the scenery in Bai Juyi's eyes.

Therefore, the Buddhist verses recited by Budai monk are different from his landscape poems:

Falling into the world from greed,

Give up greed, anger and pay homage to the great hero.

Nothing can be gained by being straightforward,

The peace of Yuanming shines upon your heart.

Liu Junzuo clasped his hands together and said to the Budai monk: "Master, I understand in my heart. From now on, I will abandon all my family property and follow you to travel around the world and practice Taoism."

But the Budai monk shook his head.

Liu Junzuo asked in confusion, "Am I wrong again?"

Budai monk smiled and said: "Of course you are wrong! I asked you to let go of your greed, not your property."

Liu Junzuo became even more confused: "If you don't give up your property, how can you let go of your greed?"

Budai monk said: "The greed in your heart has nothing to do with property. For example, you were the richest man in Hangzhou, but you tried your best to exchange a long-term worker's only three cows for three bottles of oil. But the long-term worker changed Only three bottles of oil were given to the Buddha.

This shows that because of your raging greed, you, a rich man, are poorer than a long-term worker. I am certain that although you have become the richest man in Hangzhou, you never feel rich. You still have a poor mentality, so even if all the wealth in the world is given to you, you will still not be happy. "

These words touched Liu Junzuo's heart.

He nodded and said: "The reason why I was so stingy in the past and always tried to scheme against others was because I felt that my wealth was too little, and I was always worried that the wealth I had already acquired would be lost forever. Because of this, I am worried, frightened, and often wake up in the middle of the night, unable to fall asleep."

Budai monk said: "This is because you are greedy! People often say 'contentment is always happiness'. Because you are not satisfied, your heart is always miserable, and there is no joy in life."

Liu Junzuo looked at the Budai monk and said, "The reason why I said that I wanted to abandon all my property and follow you on your wanderings is because I am afraid of being dragged down by them. I want to leave and practice practice. It is indeed a feeling, not a whim."

The Budai monk said, "You are escaping rather than sincerely pursuing the Tao."

Liu Junzuo was a little anxious: "Master Butai, I am not pretending. I really understand that no matter how rich the world is, it is still something outside the body. Just like what you reminded me in my dream, if you don't bring it with you in life, you won't take it with you in death."

Budai said: "It's good if you understand."

Liu Junzuo looked at the Budai monk and said, "Therefore, I want to put aside these things outside my mind, follow you to learn Buddhism, and go to a remote place in the mountains and forests to meditate and practice."

Budai monk smiled and said: "Learning Buddhism does not mean avoiding the world, nor does it mean meditating."

Liu Junzuo was puzzled: "I heard those who study Buddhism say that if you want to practice Zen, you must stay away from the hustle and bustle, eliminate external influences, put everything aside, and sit in meditation, like a dead man, only then can you enter the true state."

After hearing this, Monk Budai was really dumbfounded and said, "Originally, everyone has a share in Zen practice and everyone can get it. According to what you said, except for some monks, no one else can practice Zen."

Liu Junzuo asked: "Why?"

Budai monk said: "If everyone meditates behind closed doors, what will people eat? Besides, ordinary people live at home, do seven things when they open the door, do not work for a few days, and make a living becomes a problem. How can they practice Zen? You can't even seal your mouth. Get up, okay? Therefore, when people at home learn Buddhism, they can’t just copy what’s done in the monastery.”

After all, Liu Junzuo had some foundation, and asked: "But how can a person like me work hard to be consistent with Zen?"

Budai monk said: "There is nothing mysterious about practicing Zen. As long as you can do things without worrying about anything, and have nothing in mind, then you will be empty and spiritual, silent and wonderful, which is the state of Zen. For example, when you are doing business, whenever you encounter big or small matters , concentrate on it, and deal with it at any time; for another example, when you are hungry, just concentrate on eating and don’t think about it. In other words, no matter what you do, you can’t be distracted, you must concentrate on doing the thing at hand, and you should pick it up when it’s time to do it. Get up, and let go when you want to put it down later. Over time, you will naturally become one, and everything will go smoothly. This is the real kung fu."

Liu Junzuo suddenly realized: "Oh, it turns out that Buddhist practice is so simple!"

Budai said: "Zen is the true face of human beings and the reality of life. Therefore, practicing Zen means eating when you are hungry, sleeping when you are sleepy; taking off your clothes when you are hot, and warming yourself by the fire when you are cold. Everything is natural and not artificial."

After listening to these words, Liu Junzuo truly understood: Zen means focusing on the present without any intention. Doing no evil, practicing all good deeds, having a pure mind, and doing the things at hand conscientiously are the best practices.

However, he still had a trace of worry. He said, "Master Butai, you are like me. He is a businessman. Is doing business to make money also practice cultivation?"

"Yes." Budai monk's tone was as firm as ever.

He said: "To learn Buddhism, not everyone has to become a monk and practice Buddhism. We should follow everyone's destiny and give full play to everyone's strengths. Those who are officials should be good officials; those who serve the people should be content with their duties. For example, you, Liu Junzuo, are born to be a business wizard. You have created a lot of wealth for society while circulating materials and adjusting surplus and shortage. This is your most suitable position."

Later, he added: "Of course, the key to this is how you make money, what kind of money you make, and what you do to make money. A businessman who practices Buddhism must have a right heart and use legitimate means to make money. Earn legitimate profits. Also, after making money, you should not just use it for personal enjoyment. You should give alms, make offerings to the Three Jewels, and help the poor and distressed people. In this way, you can practice both blessing and wisdom, and you can enter the path of Bodhisattva faster."

Liu Junzuo was very excited and said: "We are both in business, greedy and worshipful, defrauded and deceived, and will never recover; a change of thought, compassion, joy and sacrifice, the merits are immeasurable."

Budai monk also smiled; "I hope you can do what you say. I have a gatha for you."

As he spoke, Budai monk took out a piece of paper and handed it to Liu Junzuo, which read:

It's not like a saint, it's like that,

Don't force yourself to distinguish between holy love and loneliness.

Priceless heart pearl, this garden is pure,

Everything that is different is empty.

People can spread the Tao and the Tao is clear,

Infinite high praise and love.

Take Xiruo to the road to your homeland,

Don’t worry about not hearing the sound everywhere.

Liu Junzuo read it once and didn't quite understand the meaning of the gatha.

When he raised his head to ask Budai monk for advice, there was no one around him!

In the distance, as if from the Western Mountains, a faint chanting voice came:

There should be a way out of the sea of suffering,

There is no hope of leaving Lingshan.

He will never forget this meeting in his lifetime,

When we meet again under the Longhua tree.

Liu Junzuo bowed deeply towards the direction from which the voice came...

From then on, Liu Junzuo seemed to be a completely different person. Not only did he believe in Buddhism, but he was also willing to do charity.
