Qi covered his ears with his hands and ran away.
That night, Qi Chi meditated as usual. In his meditation, he clearly felt that he was gradually flying up, flying up...
He flew and flew, flying over the green mountains and green waters, over the rice fields and grasslands, and flew to another world in the sky:
Pines are said to be green, bamboos are said to be green, and the greenness has been soaked in the cold for eternity; the sky is blue, the ground is green, and the green light reflects thousands of miles of clouds. In the Jade Palace and Qiong Tower, the ceilings are always floating in the sky all year round, so you can feel at ease here;
In the Golden Realm of the Buddha's kingdom, immortal music sounds at six o'clock, and you can feel free and happy when you arrive.
Qixi saw that there were seven city walls in this world. Each city wall was made of gold, silver, glass, coral, amber, clam, agate, and seven treasures. Each city wall radiated colorful light.
Within the city wall is a beautiful garden with golden lotus flowers in full bloom. In each lotus stamen there is a small goddess dancing gracefully.
There is an eight-color glazed canal in the garden, inlaid with various orbs, and eight drops of water flowing through it, exuding an intoxicating aroma like fine wine.
What's even more amazing is that the water in the world flows downward, but the eight merit water here spurts upward, as brilliant as radiating fireworks.
There are also lotus flowers blooming in the water, and twenty-four goddesses are born from each flower. Each goddess has an indescribable figure and is as majestic as a Bodhisattva. They hold various treasures in their hands, and the treasures are filled with nectar. If you take a sip, you can live forever and stay young.
The people here are all as beautiful as gods, and everyone is carefree. The goddesses are singing and dancing, and the emperors are laughing.
Qi walked through the garden and saw a majestic palace. It is also made of all kinds of precious treasures, which are jewel-like and dazzling.
There is an extremely gorgeous, extremely noble, and extremely tall Leo in the palace. A Dharani net hangs above the throne, and each knot is connected with a Mani orb, which radiates seven-color light. There are countless flying apsaras dancing in the sky of the hall, playing wonderful music...
God knows why, but those angels seemed to be waiting for Qishi's arrival, scattering flowers and singing around him. It's true: the ceiling is falling like rain, and the singing is rising again like a tide.
The angels actually gathered him on the high throne of Leo. What's even stranger is that he seems to be revisiting his old place, and seems to be very familiar with everything here, as if he had lived here before...
He understands the connection between his true nature and his appearance. He still leads the villagers to the fields to plant rice when it is time to plant rice. When it is time to eat, he still goes to the dining hall to eat. It is as ordinary as a grain of sand falling on the beach. It is difficult to distinguishing him from other monks.
Early that morning, Qi Ji felt inexplicably frightened as soon as he got up. He hurriedly walked out of the dormitory and looked around. In his eyes, Tianhua Temple seemed to be bathed in a bloody dusk, a blazing red.
The sun is still sleeping below the horizon, a hint of fish belly white has just emerged in the east, and the morning glow has not yet ignited in the eyes. Why does Tianhua Temple in the hazy morning light seem to be enveloped in sparks?
Could it be that Qi's eyesight is dazzled?
Tianhua Temple is indeed peaceful, but I am not wrong about this.
Because what he saw was a scene transformed by a premonition, which was a sensitive perception phenomenon of the Zen master after his enlightenment.
Qi quickly came to the abbot, where monk Yunqing was sitting in meditation on the Zen bed.
Qiji put his hands and feet lightly, and Yunqing said without opening his eyes: "Qiji, I know why you came to the abbot. However, what should come will naturally come; what should go will definitely follow fate. Let’s go. Everything has its own cause and condition. Everything arises and perishes due to conditions, so just let nature take its course.”
So, Qi Zu quietly walked out again.
However, when he walked to the abbot's door, Monk Yunqing said again: "Here is the deed. There is a letter on the slip at the door. Take it. Then, you can deal with it as appropriate."
Qi then put the envelope in his arms and went to the field quietly.
As noon approached, Qi felt a scorching heat wave coming and wrapped around Tianhua Temple. He looked up and saw several groups of officers and soldiers quietly approaching the temple from different directions and quickly encircling them...
With this in mind, he whispered a few words to a villager and quickly ran towards the forest behind the temple.
He climbed up a mountain ridge and saw that in the forest, Yingqing, Yingkong, and Yingjing had tied up the load of firewood, picked it up, and were about to return to Tianhua Temple.
Qi Ji quickly waved his hand and shouted: "Ying Qing, stop quickly, don't go back to the temple!"
Yingqing and the others didn't know what was going on, but they stopped when they heard Qizhi's shout.
Qi Chi rushed over panting and said to Ying Qing and the others: "The officers and soldiers from the East Zhejiang Observation Envoy's Yamen are here to arrest you again. Hurry, get out of here!"
Yingqing looked frustrated and said: "Brother Qi, we are all from the north and are not familiar with the south of the Yangtze River. After leaving Tianhua Temple, our eyesight has turned black. Where can we settle down? Moreover, we have just ordained. We have not yet received the ordination and have not passed the ultimatum. In this time of war and chaos, which temple is willing to let us hang out?"
Qi said: "The abbot has already thought of this problem and wrote a letter to the abbot of Guoqing Temple in Tiantai Mountain. You can take it and seek refuge with him!"
As he spoke, he took out the envelope from his arms and handed it to Ying Qing.
Yingqing took the letter and asked with some surprise: "Did the abbot and the monk already know that the officers and soldiers would come today, so he made preparations in advance?"
Qi Zhi smiled enigmatically and said: "Between heaven and earth, all things and all changes are nothing more than origin. Therefore, Monk Yunqing just mastered this law of mutation."
Yingqing was shocked and shouted: "Oh my god, if you can predict the future, wouldn't you be a god?"
Qi Chi patted him on the shoulder and said: "What is there to envy about gods? In the eyes of Zen practitioners who have awakened to the true meaning of life in the universe, the so-called gods are just children playing children's games. As long as you practice seriously, If you have a clear mind and see your nature, you can transcend the gods. So, I hope that after you arrive at Tiantai Mountain, you will work hard to find your true colors."
After Yingqing and the others bowed to Qi Shi, they turned around and ran toward the southwest where Tiantai Mountain is located.
Qi then took a look at the firewood they left behind. Each load weighed more than 200 kilograms, which was twice as much as the firewood they originally collected. He struggled to pick up one of the loads and staggered towards the temple.
He had just taken a few steps when he suddenly heard rapid footsteps behind him. He turned around and found that Yingqing and the others had actually returned!
Qi Ji stamped his feet in anxiety and reprimanded: "Yingqing, what's going on with you? Are you still afraid that I will deceive you? Climb up the mountain ridge and take a look. The officers and soldiers have surrounded Tianhua Temple. Even a puppy Don’t even think about getting away!”
But Yingqing said: "Senior brother, just because the officers and soldiers surrounded Tianhua Temple, the three of us cannot leave."
"Why? You know, the officers and soldiers are here to arrest you!"
Ying Qing said resolutely: "When we came back, we let them capture us on purpose."
"Oh my god," Qi Ji said anxiously, "Once you are caught, there is only one way to die!"
"But," Yingkong said: "If we escape on our own and the officers and soldiers rush into the air again, they will definitely vent their resentment on other monks, or they will do something unfavorable to Tianhua Temple. So, hero We are good men, and the three of us have agreed that we would rather die in hell than walk away and bring trouble to Tianhua Temple."
Qi Ji was very moved by their loyalty, but he was calmer in his heart and asked: "Do you think that with your own responsibility, the disaster of Tianhua Temple can be avoided?"
Ying Qing nodded: "Their goal is to capture the three deserters like us. Once they catch us, they will naturally not do anything to Tianhua Temple."
Qi Ji shook his head very seriously and said: "Yingqing, you are wrong. If the three of you are arrested in Tianhua Temple, the guilt of Monk Yunqing and other monks for harboring deserters will be really established. In this way, Tianhua Temple It will be difficult to escape from the relationship. If the officers and soldiers take this opportunity to cause trouble, the entire temple, including Abbot Yunqing, will be doomed."
Just as Ying Qing was about to say something more, Qi Cheng waved his hand to stop him: "You don't have to think too much. Since Monk Yunqing has already anticipated what will happen today, he has his own reasons for how to arrange it. So, you just follow the abbot's instructions. The monk wants to go to Tiantai Mountain."
Yingqing and the others couldn't help but burst into tears as they knelt down in the direction of Tianhua Temple...
When Qi Ji returned to Tianhua Temple with a load of firewood, the officers and soldiers had gathered all the monks in the temple in the open space between the Tianwang Hall and the Main Hall, and were using cold swords to force them to hand over the three monks. deserter.
As soon as Qi Jin entered the mountain gate, he was immediately caught by the officers and soldiers and brought to him. Monk Yunqing glanced at them and whispered: "Since you are outside the temple, why do you need to come back?"
Qi said: "Everyone is scared here. I can't hide from danger alone and stay out of it."
The leader of the officers and soldiers walked up to Yun Qing and said, "Old monk, tell me, where did you hide the three deserters?"
Yun Qing sat on the ground and not only ignored him, he didn't even raise his eyelids.
This is clearly contempt! The leader was furious, drew out his sharp sword with a swipe, placed it on Abbot Yunqing's neck, and shouted: "Old monk, haven't you heard of a general who kills without blinking an eye?"
Yun Qing slowly opened his eyes, looked at him for a while, and then slowly said: "How did you know that there are monks who are not afraid of death!"
Abbot Yunqing's calm courage and calmness that looked at death as if he were home were something that even the leader of the officers and soldiers who had killed countless people had never seen before, and the leader's arrogance could not help but fade a lot. He retracted his sword and said in a calm tone as much as possible: "Old monk, you don't have to hide from me. We have already found out clearly that the three deserters from Shanxi, named Yingqing, Yingkong, and Yingjing, are hiding in your sky. In the Hua Temple.”
Monk Yunqing smiled faintly and said: "Since you know, why do you need to ask me? If you go and catch them, won't it be done?"
The leader said, "But you hid them and we couldn't find them."
"Tianhua Temple is such a big place. You have searched it inside and out several times. Where can we hide them? As soon as you came, I told you that there is no Yingqing or Yingqing you mentioned in Tianhua Temple. Yingkong and Yingjing are the three people.”
"So, where did they go?"
Monk Yunqing closed his eyes again and stopped talking.
The leader seemed to persuade patiently: "Old monk, as far as I know, those three fake monks killed animals, ate meat, framed fellow practitioners, and seduced widows. They did all kinds of evil. Why do you still protect them?"
Yunqing said: "However, the three of them have confessed and repented of their past mistakes. Now, they have officially converted to the Three Jewels, ordained and got married. Therefore, as a believer of the Buddha and the abbot of the temple, I cannot leave them alone." "
The leader of the officers and soldiers threatened: "If you don't hand over the people, I will burn your temple down! Are you willing to abandon such a good temple for three evil people? Is it worth it for you to do this? ?"
Yun Qing smiled faintly and said no more. The leader was furious and actually ordered the temple to be set on fire!
The torches in the hands of the officers and soldiers were lit one by one!
All the monks in the temple sat cross-legged on the ground silently, motionless, waiting for the last moment...
The fire shot into the sky and the flames rose, making the mountains and fields red and the sky red. The wood burned cracklingly.
Amid the crackling sound, Monk Yunqing's hoarse voice rang out: "In order to quell greed, why not practice walking meditation in the world. Purify yourself of all desires, and red lotuses will grow in the fire..."
