Li saw that Liang Jinlian had heard clearly, and then went a step further: Ah Lian, since you know that there should be no abode, that is the real Bodhi, that is, the realm of Dharmakaya Buddha, but don't go looking for this reality, this Dharmakaya Buddha. , Mi means not.

Reality has no form and cannot be found. Just let it go, no matter what you think about it. Searching for the heart together becomes a delusion. You should know that this realm of reality is not unique to all Buddhas. We also have it ourselves. So what? Buddha and all living beings are essentially the same.

As long as everyone closes their eyes and is silent at this moment, without a single thought arising, then they will remain motionless and all things will be one, which is the true and unattached true mind of reality.

If a thought moves slightly, it means it is abiding. If there is something to live in, it is not reality. Therefore, "if a thought does not arise and fully manifest, the six roots will move and be covered by clouds." Those who cannot respond to the practice of sentient beings have something to live in, so they have something to seek; to live and have something to seek is to bind themselves, how can they see it on their own? nature?

To understand the truth that one should live without abiding in one's mind, and to understand the substance and use of these two lines of sutra, one must first establish their substance, and then they can have their use. Let go of all desires and desires and stand firm. Because if you let go of everything, your delusional mind will calm down. When the delusional mind ceases, the true mind will naturally appear before it. However, people know that it is good to let go, but they still cannot let go. Why? Because my knowledge of karma is too deep, it is difficult to let it go. Because letting go is not easy, we must start by subduing our hearts. As everyone knows, everything without abiding is surrender.

If you seek another surrender, it is to put your head on your head. If everything is free of abiding, then the true nature will be obtained. Relying on the true nature, living without abiding, living without birth, that is, relying on the body to function.

The only difference between Buddha and sentient beings is awareness or unawareness, compassion or unmercifulness. When he is aware, he is separated from each other, and nothing exists, so he is called Buddha; when he is not aware, he sees the environment and creates a mind, and everything is abiding, so he is called a living being.

Compassion means equality, and all things are one, which is called Buddha; without compassion, greed, anger, stupidity, and arrogance, and troubles arise, are called sentient beings. However, awareness and unconsciousness are physical differences; compassion and non-compassion are functional differences. There is no duality in body and function, but one mind. If you can turn your bad thoughts into kind thoughts, you have a Buddha mind. Therefore, the Sixth Patriarch said: "If one thought is straight, all living beings will become Buddhas."

Finally, Li concluded: Buddha has three bodies, and we should know that we also have three bodies, the so-called Dharmakaya, Sambhogakaya, and Nirvana. When it is not abiding, the true mind of empty spiritual knowledge fills the space, which is the Dharmakaya. When the mind arises, good intentions will give rise to good rewards, and bad intentions will give rise to bad rewards. The mind at this time is the Sambhogakaya. One thought, all kinds of changes... the mind at this time is the incarnation. When sentient beings understand this principle, they should always work hard on the mind of non-absence. The mind is like emptiness, but does not contain the amount of emptiness; it comprehends everything without being attached to the appearance of everything. The so-called following the conditions does not change, does not change and follows the conditions, does not change means that there is no abiding, and following the conditions means that the mind is born.

"Can you tell me your understanding?" After Li finished speaking, he asked Liang Jinlian a question like a teacher to a student.

"Okay, Auntie. Please correct me if I'm wrong." After Liang Jinlian cleared her throat, she explained her understanding of "mind nature" and "no form", and then, very creatively This is an appropriate metaphor for the arguments on "mind-nature" and "no form" in the Diamond Sutra:

Human beings, as their own mind, are originally "formless" Prajna wisdom. This mind is like the sun and the moon, always quiet and bright, while ignorance and evil are like clouds covering the sun and moon. When the clouds and mist dissipate, that is, the ignorance and wrong views in oneself are eliminated, the wisdom and nature of Prajna are revealed. And my aunt just mentioned the fat Cui Zhengkui and the pockmarked Huo Tianqiang who beat Brother Aneng and the old beggar. Those two people were so hateful and ugly. Their hateful ugliness was because their "mind" was covered by floating clouds, that is, the floating clouds covered the sun and the moon. Once they feel that their behavior is shameful, they will abandon their shame and promote good deeds, that is, they will eliminate their ignorance and wrong views, and the wisdom of Prajna will be revealed.

After Liang Jinlian explained her views on "mind nature" and "no form", she blinked and looked at Mrs. Li, waiting for her correction.

This time, it was Li's turn to look at Liang Jinlian apologetically and said sheepishly: "Alian, I'm sorry, I don't understand it very well. I only know that it comes from the scriptures in the Diamond Sutra. Although I used There are so many nouns that cannot explain this state of seeing one's nature directly, because it is very difficult to explain this through nouns. Don't say that I am not enlightened, even people who have realized this state can't explain it. It is difficult to explain this matter with names and forms. Because through names and forms, we can only realize similar concepts, and they are by no means the real and ultimate meaning. Therefore, this state can only be understood, not expressed. However, this plot is involved in the book , I didn’t say a few words, I felt uncomfortable and felt that I couldn’t go on. I had to use such a lot of nouns, as if a blind man was describing to the world how beautiful the world is, just to make people laugh... …”

After Liang Jinlian quietly listened to Mr. Li's lecture, suddenly, as if she remembered something, she smoothed her hair hanging in front of her forehead and asked tentatively, "Auntie, Brother Aneng is already so old. How can we live in this life?" He is handsome and kind-hearted, and he has someone outside..." Liang Jinlian originally wanted to test Huineng to see if there was a girl who liked him, but then she thought about it, what if it came out from Li's mouth that there was a girl who liked him? The little hope that existed in her heart was shattered. Therefore, she swallowed back the words that had reached her lips.

Seeing that Liang Jinlian was hesitant and hesitant to speak, Mrs. Li said, "Alian, just ask whatever you want, and I will tell you everything I know."

"No, thank you, Auntie." Liang Jinlian lowered her head and said in a concealed manner.

Mr. Li is a person who came here, how can he not know the girl's thoughts? Of course she could feel what Liang Jinlian was thinking, "Then let's talk about Neng'er and that girl."

It's true that you can't open the pot and lift it.

What Liang Jinlian didn't want to hear finally came out of Li's mouth, and she felt a "boom" in her head, as if the end of the world was coming. Fortunately, there was no light in the bedroom, so her desperate expression would not be seen by Mrs. Li.

To be honest, since Huineng came to the house behind her father's back, through a period of understanding and contact, she found that she had slowly fallen in love with him. Not only did she like his appearance, but she was also fascinated by his extraordinary wisdom, the charm of a mature man, and his noble temperament. She even dreamed about him. But she didn't have the courage to confess to him in person, for fear that his heart already belonged to someone else, and once she said it, she would lose him.

At this time, the power generated by the pure and passionate love from her heart was so huge and irresistible...

Liang Jinlian decided not to speak and let fate decide. Let Li make the decision.

Liang Jinlian waited. After a long time, what she was afraid of hearing did not come out of Li's mouth.

Li rubbed her cloudy eyes and recalled, "This happened when Neng'er and I went to Guangzhou to seek refuge with Mr. Wen. I fell ill in the inn, and was later carried by Mr. Lei and Lei Fei on a donkey to the village outside Guangzhou. Speaking of those days in Baiyun Mountain Village..."

Liang Jinlian couldn't bear to interrupt Mrs. Li's interest, so she had to say, "Then...Auntie...speak slowly."

As a result, Li's chat box was opened again——

When Neng'er was nine years old, one day, he received a letter from Mr. Wen Fei, the governor of Guangzhou, Nanhai County, a classmate of Neng'er's father, asking us, mother and son, to go to Guangzhou and live with his family. Mr. Wen would die in his place. The old friend has taken on the responsibility of raising his offspring, providing for Neng's son to study, obtain fame in the future, and inherit the long-standing tradition of the Lu family.

So, I sold my land, carried my luggage, and my mother and son traveled day and night, eating and sleeping in the open, and trekked all the way to Guangzhou.

Unexpectedly, when I arrived at the Guangzhou Yamen, I heard the Yamen say, "Sir Wen Fei was from the north and was not adapted to our Lingnan climate. He was not acclimated to the acclimatization and was infected with miasma. He died of illness two months ago."

Before I could finish what I said, my legs went weak and I collapsed to the ground... Neng'er hurriedly walked up and helped me up.

When the Yamen saw this, he said that Master Wen was not kind to him when he was in power. Since Lord Wen's relatives and friends were in trouble, they should help each other, so the Yamen called for the doctor.

After taking the medicine, the yamen sent me back to the small inn where I was staying, and then returned to the yamen.

Neng'er cooked Chinese herbal medicine in a small inn and served him day and night. It was really difficult for a nine-year-old child.

Perhaps it was Neng'er's sincerity and filial piety that pulled me back from wandering in front of the gate of hell for three days and three nights.

However, after half a month, I had no money for medical treatment and medicine, and I spent all the money I had from selling my land at home to prepare to settle down in Guangzhou.

Neng'er had heard his father tell stories about the ancient adopted daughter who sold herself to bury her father since she was a child. At this time, the idea of selling herself to save her mother came to mind.

So, he came to the market and put a straw in his head that symbolized selling himself! Sell yourself to save your mother!

When the crowd learned how our mother and son came to Guangzhou from Xinzhou to seek refuge with Mr. Wen Fei, and learned the truth that Mr. Wen died of illness, his mother unfortunately fell ill, had no money for medical treatment, and was dying, and was forced to have no choice but to sell his life to save his mother. They all sympathized with us, mother and son, and helped each other one after another.

But Neng'er waved his hands repeatedly and said gratefully: "Dear benefactors, sisters, wives, uncles and aunts, thank you for your kind intentions. However, I want to sell myself to save my mother, not beg! I can't accept you. charity. My father said that starving to death is a small matter, but being unruly is a big deal..."

An old man helped Neng'er collect the money donated by people and said, "My child, look at it, is the money enough for your mother to get medicine? Maybe you won't have to sell yourself."

However, the old man helped Xiao Huineng count and found that the money was only equivalent to one tael of silver, which was only one-tenth of the cost of 10 taels of medicine.

At this time, Boss Huang from Baiyun Pawnshop came over shaking a folding fan. He looked at the grass sign on Neng'er's head and said, "Little guy, my Baiyun Pawnshop has just opened a branch. I need it." As a handyman, can you do this?"

Neng'er said: "Yes! I can make tea and rice, fetch water and sweep the floor, make the bed and fold the quilt."

Boss Huang nodded and said, "How many taels of silver are you worth?"

Neng'er said: "Twelve taels."

"What? Ten taels? Are you a Jie Dao? You know, a well-built colt is only worth a little more than a tael of silver!"

The old man who helped Xiao Huineng said: "But he is a human being, how can you compare him with an animal?"

Boss Huang didn't care: "It's very rare to find a good horse these days, but there are many people with two legs! Little guy, can you give me eight taels of silver? Otherwise, I will leave!"

Neng'er said in embarrassment: "Boss, I don't know if I am worth ten taels of silver. However, the shopkeeper of the medicine shop said that my mother's illness cannot be cured without ten taels of silver, so..."

"Little guy, do you know that when it comes to evil intentions, apart from those who rob people, they are also those who sell medicine, and they don't pay for their lives by cheating people. So, the medicine shop owner is cheating on you."

"But, knowing that there is nothing you can do about being blinded! If you are sick, you have to take medicine. Boss, is this okay? If you think ten taels of silver is too much, the kind-hearted uncles and aunts around me have just collected a tael of silver for me. , can you just pay my mother the remaining ninety taels of medicine?"

Boss Huang hesitated and said: "Well...well, I also see that you are a filial child, so...but please think carefully that once you sell yourself, you will be a slave for the rest of your life."

Neng'er nodded and whispered: "As long as my mother's disease can be cured, I am willing."

"Okay then, you and I will find a matchmaker and sign a deed of sale."

"Aneng! Wait!" Neng'er was about to follow Boss Huang out when he suddenly heard someone calling his name.

Neng'er turned around and saw that it was Lei Fei, the boy who delivered firewood to the inn, dragging a man and squeezing in through the crowd.

Lei Fei pulled the adult in front of Neng'er and said, "Dad, this is the little Huineng I told you. It is with his help that the innkeeper continues to ask for our firewood."

Uncle Lei looked at the grass mark on Xiao Huineng's head and said in surprise: "Son, it turns out you really want to sell yourself?"

Neng'er nodded and said softly: "My mother's illness is getting worse and worse, and the money we brought has been spent, so..."

Boss Huang interjected: "We have already negotiated his worth, and he is mine."

Uncle Lei ignored him and continued to say to Neng'er: "Son, have you ever thought about it? After you sell yourself into a slave, you will have money to buy medicine, but who will take care of your mother? You lost your father in your early years, and you have been with us since you were a child. Your mother depends on each other for life and has never left. If we are suddenly separated from each other and our flesh and blood are separated, will your mother be able to withstand this blow? Maybe..."

Neng'er was stunned for a moment, horrified, and instantly broke into a cold sweat. He burst into tears with a loud "Wow", plopped down on his knees in front of Uncle Lei, hugged his legs, and choked up and said: "If I don't sell myself, I won't have the money to pay for my mother's medical treatment; if it's true, I am a slave, and my mother who is seriously ill has no one to take care of me...Uncle Lei, please show me a way."

Seeing Neng'er's grief-stricken look, Uncle Lei couldn't help but burst into tears. He picked up little Huineng and said: "My child, your sincere filial piety alone is enough to move the world and influence the ghosts and gods. Look, aren't there so many strangers who have extended a helping hand to you? So? , there will be a way."

Uncle Lei clasped his fists and said to Boss Huang: "This kid is from Xinzhou. He lost his father when he was young and his life experience was extremely unfortunate. However, he has a very kind heart and never forgets to try his best to help others when he is in trouble. So, I wanted to take him away and try to help him get through this."

Boss Huang stared and said, "What's going on with you? How can you steal my business!"

"I'm not trying to steal your business. First of all, I'm from the countryside and my family doesn't have overnight food. How can I afford people? Secondly, even if I could afford it, I wouldn't do such a shameful thing."

Uncle Lei also patiently enlightened Neng'er and said: "Son, don't worry, there will be no delay in treating your mother. The medicine shop owner said that curing your mother's disease requires a lot of money. However, it doesn't mean that you can take it out as soon as you need it. So much money! You have to take the medicine one at a time. Therefore, the money people give you is enough to pay for the medicine for a period of time. You two will move from the inn to our village first and settle down temporarily. We will slowly figure out a way. . Besides, your mother suddenly became ill because she suddenly failed to find relatives and friends, and she had no relatives and no one to live in Guangzhou, so she got sick in a panic. Once your life stabilizes, I believe your mother's illness will slowly get better. of."

When Neng'er heard what Uncle Lei said, it was like seeing light in the dark night, and seeing hope in despair.

Later, Uncle Lei and Lei Fei followed Neng'er to the inn, helped me onto the donkey, and carried me to Baiyun Mountain Village outside Guangzhou.

Uncle Lei took us mother and son home. Aunt Lei packed up the room that had been vacant a few years ago after her eldest daughter got married, and gave it to me. Neng'er and Lei Fei lived in the same room.
