Zhang Shaofei smiled and stretched out his right hand, touched Lei Gong's head and said: "Lei Gong, please tell me first, how did you practice before you became Lei Gong?"

After a while, he remembered to answer Zhang Shaofei's question and answered with his hands together: "Master Sixth Patriarch, I have always hated complicated names and mysterious theories, so I have not even practiced the Four Noble Truths, and I have even more disdain for those classic teachings. Lei Gong laughed knowingly: "Haha... That's right, that's right. If you don't even practice the Four Noble Truths, of course you won't be afraid of falling into a roundabout way!"
Zhang Shaofei clapped his hands and said: "That's great, that's great! From now on, as the God of Thunder in Heaven, help me educate the gods in the sky to do evil and promote good."
After hearing this, Lei Gong couldn't help laughing "haha", "Okay, okay, okay! Teach the gods to do evil and promote good!"
The Lightning Mother jumped up from the boulder, circled around the Thunder Lord three times, and said, "Are you happy that you have a dog? Why are you laughing?"
Zhang Shaofei said solemnly: "Dian Mother, don't be rude! Lei Gong is the god of enlightenment from now on, you should listen to his guidance more."
Mother Dian said aggrievedly: "He got started later than me, but... Oh, by the way, you just said a lot of truths, why can't I understand a word of it?"
Fairy Dujuan interjected: "So, you have changed from senior sister to junior sister! According to my guess, Senior Brother Lei Gong is telling us that we should pursue enlightenment with prajna and emptiness wisdom and abandon the attachment to the Dharma, rather than really disdain the classics. Gu."
Zhang Shaofei said with a smile: "Yes, Fairy Du Juan is right. The Dharma is empty, the Dharma is empty, all Dharmas are empty; the Dharma is empty, the Dharma is empty, the Dharma should also be empty. A monk who practices diligently may not be greedy for heaven and earth. Wealth and sex, but it is difficult to get rid of the attachment to Dharma and classics. This is also greed and must be eradicated! Bodhisattvas should understand the Buddha's great way and the true meaning of life in the universe with the original intention of being empty and gainless."

Lei Gong quickly slipped down from the stone surface and said: "Master Sixth Patriarch, you are back!"

Zhang Shaofei asked him to get up and sit on the Zen stone aside. Before Suan Ni could even sit down, he asked eagerly: "Excuse me, Master, what is the heart that is the Buddha?"
Zhang Shaofei said: "If the previous thought does not arise, it is the heart; if the subsequent thought does not disappear, it is the Buddha; if it has become all the characteristics, it is the heart; if it is separated from all the characteristics, it is the Buddha."
Suanni frowned and said piously: "I am ignorant and cannot understand the master's wonderful artistic conception. I hope the Sixth Patriarch can explain it in detail."
Zhang Shaofei said: "All sentient beings have Buddha nature, so the nature of all sentient beings is a bright, kind and pure heart. Only because of the coverage of greed, anger, ignorance and other troubles, this heart cannot show its true, good and beautiful side. If you can directly see your original mind, you can become a Buddha! Well, listen to me say a verse."
Zhang Shaofei chanted:
That is the name of the mind and wisdom, that is the concentration of Buddha. Maintain concentration, wisdom, etc., and keep your mind pure. Understanding this method depends on your habits. Use the original to have no life, double cultivation is correct.
Suanni felt as if he heard thunder, his body and mind suddenly became enlightened, and the mystery in his heart suddenly disappeared. He couldn't help being ecstatic, and he prostrated himself on the ground and said, "Thank you, Master, thank you, Master!" Then he also said a verse: That is, the heart is originally a Buddha, and it is self-enlightened without enlightenment. I know the cause of concentration and wisdom, and practice dual cultivation to separate from all things.
Zhang Shaofei smiled and said: "That's it, that's it, the mind is the Buddha, and the Buddha is the original mind. Because the original mind is pure and untainted, and the original mind can give birth to all things. Every plant, tree, mountain, water, person, or Every ant is a manifestation of the pure original mind! The original mind is pure, kind, and is a Buddha. Therefore, plants, trees, mountains, rivers, humans, gods, and animals are also kind and natural, and they are all Buddhas!"
Lei Gong on the side jumped up and shouted: "Sixth Patriarch, you are a fool! According to what you say, then even little ants and insects are Buddhas?"
Zhang Shaofei said categorically: "Yes, when a Buddha sees the world, all sentient beings are Buddhas. Regardless of thatch, fragrant flowers, they are all manifestations of the pure Buddha body! There are wonderful Taoist temples everywhere in the mountains and rivers."
