Another example is the sentence "Lian Ao was arrested and returned to the throne of general; the governor had no merit and was worshiped as the protector of the army".
Lian Ao is the official name of Chu State in the Warring States Period, but here it refers to Han Xin, and the second half refers to Gongsun Ao during the period of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty.
Han Xin once served as a minor official like [Lian Ao] and was rescued by Xia Houying on the execution ground; Gongsun Ao rescued the general Wei Qing who was on duty in Jianzhang camp.
