Since the destination this time was not clear, we could only go to the mountains to take a look. The Kunlun Mountains are such a large area. I didn’t know where my father was trapped, so I could only search aimlessly.
When we came to a small mountain village in Yecheng County below the Kunlun Mountains, what a few of us thought was to first get some news about the Kunlun Mountains from the local villagers and see if it was possible to find a guide, preferably a guide. Can lead us to find a way into the mountain pass.
In Yecheng County at the foot of the Kunlun Mountains, there is a river flowing down from the mountains. The people here gave this river a very resounding name "Uruk" River, which means "great" in Uyghur. mean.
This river has been eroded for thousands of years, forming a ditch that is tens of kilometers long and more than ten meters deep from the ground between the sandstone and the desert.
In a gentle part of the river ditch, there is a small village called Taisi. The village is less than two kilometers long and only one to two hundred meters wide. It is sparsely populated by nearly a hundred families.
No one knows when people started living here. The first villagers who lived here made a living by herding.
In order to survive, people reclaimed small plots of farmland on the riverbed hit by floods, and filled them with poplars, willows and mulberry trees in front of and behind their houses.
Perhaps it is these trees that have allowed this village to withstand countless floods and survive to this day. Sixteen kilometers away from the village, there is a Buddhist relic on the cliff of the river ditch.
The people here call it "Butelhanna", which means "Buddhist Temple" in Uyghur. In addition to the dilapidated caves, traces of murals can also be clearly seen on the steep rock walls.
According to the county annals, during the Northern Wei Dynasty, the monk Faxian and his classmate Huijingzi went to Sri Lanka to study Buddhist scriptures. Here they saw "there are more than a thousand lives and many schools of Buddhism." When I was in Chang'an, I saw "dozens of garlands, many had been destroyed, and more than a hundred monks had learned the Dacheng sect.
From this point of view, the Buthelhana Buddhist Caves were built by Mahayana Buddhist believers who focused on personal practice to stay away from the secular world.
A historical war in 999 AD made today's Yecheng belong to the Karakhan Dynasty at that time. Naturally, the Buddhist caves, Buddha statues and murals here have also disappeared.
The Taisi villagers who have lived here for generations should be inferred to be those left over from that era, multiplied and later immigrated.
A few of us hired a car in Yecheng and prepared to go to this village called Taisi. The road conditions were very bad. The vehicle was bumpy and shook us very uncomfortable along the way. We finally reached the place and after getting off the car, we were among the sand dunes. After walking for a while, we finally saw Taisi Village.
The small village is spread along the river bed for two to three kilometers from south to north. In the autumn of October, the trees on both sides of the river ditch are rich in color, which makes it a unique scenery.
We walked along the river and saw the village of Taisi. From time to time, smoke was rising from the woods. Standing on the river ditch, we could see the whole village at a glance.
In the distance are the snow-capped Kunlun Mountains, and the clear water of the Uruk River passes through the village. When I was in the car, I had nothing to do and checked the news about this village. It is said that this river is rich in Kunlun. Jade and colorful stones are all over the river beach, and people often come here to hunt for treasures.
Every household in Taisi Village is naturally built under the ditch cliffs of the river bed. All the house walls are built with mud from the river bed. The whole village is like a maze of mud and sand, twisting and turning. Distributed along the riverbed.
This village used to rely on grazing for a living. Due to limited pasture, people reclaimed some farmland on the river beach, but it could only provide food and clothing, and it was difficult to achieve greater development.
We crossed the river and stopped in front of a dilapidated door. There was a flagpole erected in the small courtyard, and a bright five-star red flag hung on the flagpole, which was particularly eye-catching in the dilapidated courtyard.
It looked like a school, with only two classrooms measuring thirty to forty square meters. The small classrooms were crowded with old tables and chairs. There were a few educational posters hanging on the blackened walls, and the roof was blackened by smoke.
A few of us approached what seemed to be a school. There was an old man inside, who looked to be in his sixties or seventies. The old man was packing things in his yard.
We stood at the door of the school and did not go in immediately. Instead, we shouted: "Uncle, we are passing by and want to take a rest and inquire about something."
At this time, the old man who was bending down to pack his things stood up and turned around when he heard us shouting. The unique face of an ethnic minority, with some advanced features engraved on his face.
The old man put down his work, walked towards us, and said, "Ah, what do you do?"
While talking, he also covered his ears with his hands. I knew as soon as I saw this action that the old man probably had some back in his ears. He was afraid that he could not hear what we said clearly, so he quickly put his hands to his ears.
The old man looked us up and down for a long time. When he saw a few of us, including two women, we didn't look like bad people. Some of them were carrying bags, and they looked like tourists, so he opened the school door and let us in. courtyard.
"My name is Tohuti Ahiti. I am a foreign guest. I am the janitor of this school. The children have gone home for the holidays. I am the only one here. Come in and drink some water.": Tohuti Said to us.
The old man's name is very convoluted, maybe because he is a minority, so we called him Uncle Tuohuti, and we entered the dormitory where we stayed. The room inside was very small, and the place was not big. How many of us were there? As soon as I entered, I felt a little crowded.
At this time, only Lei Zi and I were left. Qin Yujie was talking to the old man in the house. Lone Wolf and Ling Gu walked out of the house and went outside because it was really crowded here.
The old man poured water for us, and we drank some symbolically. At this time, I said to Tuohuti: "Uncle Tuohuti, we just came here. We are from the Beijing National Geological Exploration Team. We want to enter I don’t know where to enter Kunlun Mountain. Is there any route? Or maybe we can find people in our village to help lead the way. Just send us to the pass of Kunlun Mountain. We will pay some fees for leading the way.”
When Tuohuti heard that we were going to Kunlun Mountain, he hurriedly said: "Oh, you are going to Kunlun Mountain. The situation up there is very dangerous. We have lived here all our lives, and few dare to enter the mountain." It’s too dangerous, I advise you not to go into the mountain.”
"And there are only a few dozen families in this village. If you dare to go into the mountains, there are probably not many people who can guide you. Besides, a few of them are old people. Those who take you to climb mountains and wade in rivers may not be able to hold on”
"There is a person who should be able to guide you. This person is not yet forty years old, but I don't know if he is willing or not, because I heard that this child once led others, and then encountered some things, and his spirit was not good. Some are not very stable. By the way, this person’s name is Bahar, and he lives in the north of the village.”
