I wanted to say something, but found that I had already said everything I wanted to say in the concluding remarks of the first volume.
Now that I have written most of the second volume, it can be considered as a summary.
First of all, as a new author, I do have many shortcomings.
For example, in terms of plot control, I thought I could end the second volume today, especially with a small climax planned at the end, which might attract a group of readers to subscribe.
But what I didn’t expect was that after 200,000 words, I was still stuck in the second volume and still hadn’t climbed out.
There are often only a few fragments and a few scenes in my mind, but once I write it out, it will take thousands of words, and several chapters will pass.
This is where new authors come up short in experience.
If I conceive a new book in the future, I must be more concise at the beginning.
This can be considered a lesson.
So this book is destined to be a slow-burning book.
Secondly, I am an old bookworm who has read online articles for more than ten years. If we count from the online article "First Intimate Contact", it will be more than 20 years ago. In the past, it was mostly from the perspective of readers, and there were many opinions, such as:
Why are updates so slow?
Why can’t this author tolerate being scolded by readers? etc.
Now that I have changed my perspective, I really have a lot more feelings.
For example, when it comes to updating, I really can't do it with the strength of the eagles, newspaper sellers, and those great masters.
I usually write each chapter twice.
The first pass was very quick, and I wrote down the main points of the plot, but the text was terrible and I couldn't send it out.
The second time I revise it word for word and rewrite it paragraph by paragraph, this takes more time.
There is no other way. I am from a science background, so I can only improve my skills.
So I can only try my best to achieve 4,000 words a day, which is the minimum goal I set for myself after it was launched.
In the future, as I become more proficient in writing, I hope to increase it to 6,000, or occasionally burst out to 81,000.
Then there is communication with readers.
The original purpose of writing this book was to entertain myself. I always felt that it was very interesting to build a fairy world, use my imagination, and describe some of my favorite characters, so I started writing it.
After I posted my words online, I realized that I actually pay great attention to readers’ comments. Sometimes a compliment can make me happy for a long time, and some comments can make me unhappy for a long time.
But fortunately, the support of many old friends, such as the familiar faces in the daily recommendation tickets; and the encouragement of new friends, such as a sudden book friend who has never appeared before, and his rewards or recommendations, all make me believe that, As long as I keep writing seriously, more and more friends will definitely like this book.
Also, let’s talk about the characters in this book.
Readers who have been reading this book can find that the settings of many characters in this book are positive, such as Tiezhu, Chen Apo, Fu, Mammy, Zhao Yuer, Caiyun, as well as Qin and Yun Jun Zu and so on. Of course, there are definitely villains, and there will be more in the future.
But in general, my book is not one that is very violent or takes a dark route. Generally speaking, it should be considered relatively sunny. The protagonist's personality is relatively cheerful and optimistic, but he will also kill decisively in life and death situations.
In a word, I like to describe more kind-hearted people, and I hope that the characters I describe can be recognized by everyone.
