The first volume is over.
I really want to write "End of the whole text" next to "End of Volume 1", haha.
I hope that many days later, with everyone’s company, when this book is completed, I can happily write these three words. Looking forward to that day!
The theme of the first volume is survival. For Yang Zhen, who is new to this strange world, he must first find a place where he can settle down and live well. The first volume basically revolves around this theme, so at the end when Yang Zhen enters the Zhao Mansion and has support, the first volume should end.
This volume is basically a story about mortals. Several characters who appear: Tiezhu, Grandma Chen, and Aunt Fu are all mortals. Later, there are Chen Fugui, Grandma Zhang, and Madam (whose real name is Qin Wan, who will be discussed later). (Written) and other immortal cultivators, but they behave more like mortals.
In the past, when I read novels about cultivating immortals written by others, it seemed that the plots in the mortal world were not very popular. Many people (including me) liked to start reading them directly from cultivation. After all, they are novels about cultivating immortals. Isn’t it about the fun of cultivating and upgrading?
So when I first started writing, I hesitated whether to write the first volume, but in the end I still felt it was hard to let go and I had to write it.
The reason is very simple. The biggest motivation for writing a book is interest. Without interest, it is difficult to finish a book well.
When I wrote this book, my initial wish was to build a world of immortality according to my own imagination. In such a world, there are mortals and immortal cultivators, and they are closely connected and inseparable.
I think if there really is such a world, he should be:
1. This world must be controlled by immortal cultivators, and the mortal court is just their tool, or agent, to manage this world.
2. Since immortal cultivators control this world, they must assume certain obligations. That’s why the immortal in Chapter 5 came to get rid of the fish demon after hearing the whistle; and later in Tie Zhu’s story, he got rid of the evil rat demon (although he came a little later) and so on.
Mortals are the foundation of immortal cultivators, and many novels also have this view. Immortal cultivators cannot just sit back and reap the benefits without any effort. They must have basic protection for the lives of mortals.
3. Immortal cultivators even have to participate in some necessary production and construction. For example, the bridge in Chapter 4 that cannot be completed by manpower. Although it is not stated explicitly, there is no doubt that it can only be built with the participation of immortal cultivators.
4. By extension, there will be many legal regulations that are considered from the perspective of immortal cultivators, such as the protection of children, etc.
In short, if there really is a society dominated by immortal cultivators, and it is a mature society, I think all the above are reasonable.
With these in mind, I finally decided to write at my own pace. From the eyes of a traveler who knows nothing about it, the world is slowly sketched.
It is really interesting to describe the world within one's own assumed rationality.
…
In the second volume, Yang Zhen will begin his cultivation career. I hope everyone will continue to support this book. If someone really doesn't like the mortal plot, you can start reading from the second volume.
