I told Uncle Ma that I had actually let it go and no longer thought about it, but since people in the world do not distinguish between good and evil, why should I follow the standards of kindness but be hurt repeatedly?
No big deal, from now on I will learn from Xiao Ma, and I will cheat whatever I can, and my own happiness is the most important thing.
Uncle Ma became rarely serious and said, Xiaofan, think about it from another perspective, this is actually a test on your way to practice.
As he said that, he grabbed a handful of melon seeds for me, and then he patiently explained some truth to me while eating the melon seeds.
He told me that Buddhism emphasizes letting go. Many people think that these two words mean letting go of the desires in the heart and letting go of what you want to pursue. This is actually wrong.
True letting go does not mean giving up or losing, but allows us to let go of our worries and attachments, not our motivations and responsibilities.
For example, if I am determined to do good, but because I have suffered some setbacks and hurts, I want to give up the idea of doing good. This is not giving up, but giving up.
What Buddhism says about letting go is that after we set our minds, we should work hard, but in our hearts we should not be attached to or worried about the success or failure of things, and we should be fearless and fearless.
But now that you encounter someone slandering you, you have to give up insisting on your inner good thoughts. This shows that you are afraid of these external demonic obstacles and have succumbed.
I said, Uncle Ma, I understand what you are saying, but it is really difficult to be a good person. Look at Ma Yunfeng, when has he ever had these troubles?
Uncle Ma sighed and said that he was a silly boy. Of course Xiao Ma also had his troubles. You have to understand that when our souls are walking on the road of spiritual practice, they are sometimes free, cheerful and full of vitality. But sometimes it can be painful, frustrating, and weak.
A true practitioner should not only let go, but also lift it up.
Let go of worries, attachments, pain, and everything you can't let go, and your mind will come and go as freely as the void.
Bring up your willpower, wisdom, compassion, and all good deeds, and work hard to do them.
Only in this way can one be called a qualified practitioner.

After a while, I asked Uncle Ma again, why do most good people not have a good life, or even a long life?
Many people spend their lives accumulating virtue and doing good deeds, eating fast and chanting Buddha's name, but they end up suffering all their lives and everything goes wrong.
Can all these things be explained only by Buddhism’s three-life cause and effect?
