In this way, I followed these people in a daze and walked into the depths of the mountain.
In fact, it was not that far away from the cave just now. About one kilometer away, we came to a slightly raised hillside.
This hillside is undulating and winding, and there is an open land in front of it, and a small stream flows through it.
It's autumn now, and the leaves are starting to change colors, with various shades of green, white, yellow, red, and purple appearing one after another.
Looking into the distance, the green surroundings are dotted with various colors, and it looks like a beautiful scenery.
But except for me, no one else was interested in enjoying the scenery. They came to a slope and stopped, and in front of me there was a pit that had obviously been dug.
The pit was about two meters square, and it was not dug very deep. The soil was simply moved, and a stone was placed on top as if to mark it.
However, after a night of rain, the area around the pit was already muddy. Master Ren walked over first, stepped on everything with his feet, then looked around, then looked at the sky, and counted on his fingers.
I don’t know what he was calculating. Anyway, after he calculated for a while, he asked Huang Tianyou to take out seven iron nails, each one was more than a foot long, and then nailed them around the pit.
When I saw the shape, it looked a bit like the Big Dipper.
Each of these seven iron nails was probably driven in about seven inches, leaving only three inches outside. After finishing driving, Mr. Ren took out some magic talismans and several unknown magic weapons, and muttered After a while, they were placed next to the seven iron nails.
Then he looked at Uncle Ma and said, "Master Ma, the dragon-inducing array has been set up, it's your turn next."
Mr. Ren's words made me a little confused. Don't look at me, I don't understand this, but I can understand it even from reading novels. How could it be that when driving nails into the soil, this could be a dragon-inducing formation? This should be a trapping dragon nail. .
But Uncle Ma didn't show anything wrong. He nodded, then took out a piece of red cloth and asked me to place the statue of Lao Jun on the red cloth.
After that, Uncle Ma lifted up his coat, took out a ruler from his bag, then lit three sticks of incense in front of the statue of Lao Jun, put a bowl of water, and placed a token.
Afterwards, he bowed three times to the statue and began to recite the incantations.
His technique was sung, not recited, and I couldn't hear it very clearly, but I just thought it sounded pretty good.
Every time he sang a verse, he bowed three times to the old man. After singing like this for a long time, he stopped, then picked up the token and made gestures in the air above the bowl of water.
This was actually a painting of an edict. After finishing painting, Uncle Ma picked up the bowl of water, dipped his fingers in it, looked into the sky and prayed silently, and then bounced it several times in the pit.
I can basically understand what each of these steps is doing, but combined, I am confused and have no idea what these uncles are doing.
If there was any evil in this pit, I didn't feel it at all.
Then, Uncle Ma took two steps back and waved towards the pit.
"God willing, dig down another two feet and three inches."
When Huang Tianyou heard this, he picked up the shovel and started digging without any ambiguity.
When I saw him starting to work, I couldn't watch. After all, there were several people, and we couldn't let him work alone.
But just as I was about to take a step forward, Uncle Ma glanced at me sideways, like a prophet who was predicting the future.
I was frozen in place instantly, not daring to move.
It's not that Uncle Ma has any magical powers, the main thing is that I know what he means by looking at me is to tell me not to act rashly and to be honest.
Okay, then I'll just stay and watch the fun. Anyway, I don't know what they are doing, so I won't go over and cause trouble.
As a result, none of the people present moved. Huang Tianyou dug for a long time by himself before finally digging the pit down about two feet.
Everyone looked at him eagerly, with serious expressions on their faces, as if they were facing a formidable enemy.
Suddenly, Huang Tianyou's shovel hit something. It must have encountered an obstacle. Then he accelerated his movements and dug down some of the soil around the thing.
Then the thing was exposed a little bit.
I took a closer look and saw that this thing seemed to be a wooden pillar, about a foot thick, and it looked very solid.
Upon seeing this, Master Ren jumped down into the pit, carefully checked the wooden pillar, then raised his head and said to everyone: "Yes, that's it, it's buried pretty damn deep."
Uncle Ma nodded, then looked at the time and said, "Then dig quickly. There is not much time. I am here to protect you."
With that said, Uncle Ma turned around and lit three sticks of incense for Lao Jun, and then started to chant sutras.
Although I don't know what this means, I can tell by looking at Uncle Ma's expression at this time. In fact, he is pretending, probably to avoid work.
But the sutra he sang this time, I recognized, it was the An Di Divine Mantra.
This is one of the eight sacred mantras of Taoism. The full text is as follows:
At the beginning of the Yuan Dynasty, the town was settled, and everyone was informed. Yue Du is a true official, and the land is only spiritual.
The society on the left and the country on the right should not be alarmed. Return to the right path and be clarified internally and externally.
Everyone takes their positions and guards the altar. Your Majesty has an order to search for evil spirits.
The protector god king protects and chants sutras. Convert to the great road, Yuan Henry Zhen.
This mantra is used when performing rituals at the altar to summon the gods of the earth and mountains, so that they can report to heaven on their behalf and protect the right path.
Generally speaking, the master must recite it when he opens an altar and goes to the temple, or when he goes out to perform rituals. The main purpose is to ask the earth gods to position themselves and guard the altar.
To put it bluntly, the land god was invited to come and sit here.
I looked on blankly, not knowing what to do. Uncle Ma pouted at me and said, "Xiaofan, read it with me."
I can recite the An Di Divine Mantra. Although I haven't memorized it, I can do it smoothly by reciting it with Uncle Ma.
So, while Uncle Ma and I were chanting mantras, those few people were digging in the pit.
After about half an hour, the digging was almost done, and then Master Ren shouted to let Uncle Ma go over.
Uncle Ma stopped at this time and took me to the pit.
At this time, the pit had been dug down about one and a half meters, making it difficult for Ren Ye and the three of them.
I saw Master Ren and Huang Tianyou hugging the wooden pile first, uprooting it, and throwing it outside the pit.
Immediately afterwards, Professor Zhang dug around at the bottom of the pit and quickly found several dark and strange things.
These things included bottles, cans, knives, swords, and some other things that I couldn't identify.
Uncle Ma looked at these things and curled his lips and said: "You dare to show off such a little trick, do you really think that we have no one?"
As he said that, Uncle Ma turned to look at me and asked, "Did you bring an umbrella?"
I was stunned for a moment and replied: "I forgot."
Uncle Ma shook his head, took out an umbrella from his backpack and threw it to me.
I was very confused. It wasn't raining yet. Why did he give me an umbrella out of the blue?
I saw Uncle Ma say something carelessly.
"Hold on, it might rain here in a while."
As he spoke, he raised his head and looked at the sky in the distance, his expression gradually becoming serious.
I was surprised, and then I raised my head and followed his gaze.
I saw a group of dark clouds slowly gathering in the corner of the sky, moving towards us quickly!
