Uncle Ma's first sentence is very different.
He said: "Saving people is not only about saving the dead, but more importantly, about saving the living. Living people actually gain more benefits."
He said that salvation originally has three meanings. The first refers to ideological salvation, correcting some people's evil thoughts and delusions, making them enlightened and leading to right views.
The second is salvation in the present life, that is, a living person first leads to the right view and enters the door of practice, and then achieves enlightenment through practice, thereby transcending life and death and sharing Nirvana.
The third is the salvation of the deceased, which means that the family of the deceased, with a pious heart, invites a mage to give sermons and chant sutras to the deceased, open a dojo to perform Buddhist services, etc., and connect the gods or Buddhas and Bodhisattvas through the mage, so that the souls of the deceased who are sinking in the underworld, or Rescue the dead souls stranded in the world.
Then, through the guidance of the gods, we pray that the soul of the deceased will soon ascend to the Oriental Qinghua Paradise, or the Western Paradise, or be reincarnated as soon as possible.
It should be noted here that the standard words are prayer and hope, that is, praying to gods or Buddhas and Bodhisattva to make wishes, hoping that the soul of the deceased can be rescued and die as soon as possible.
As for whether this dead soul can be rescued and whether it can die soon, it depends on three points.
The first thing we need to look at is the magical power of the person who delivers. That is to say, the mage must have a certain degree of virtue and be pious to deliver the deceased.
Secondly, it depends on the sin karma of the deceased. If the deceased had a lot of sin karma during his lifetime, or had a lot of resentment, or was unwilling to repent and do good, then it will be very difficult to free him.
The third thing to consider is the motivation of the relatives. This is very important. For example, if a woman transcends the spirit of an aborted infant, but she has no regrets at all, and she has no intention of helping the infant spirit to be reincarnated. She just wants the infant spirit to stop haunting her, and to improve her own wealth, then this effect will be It will be greatly reduced.
Uncle Ma said that when the deceased is saved, more benefits are actually given to the living. We must understand that when the deceased is saved, not only the resentment and karma of the deceased are eliminated, but also the karma of the living is eliminated. .
"Ksitigarbha Sutra" says: If you diligently protect your purity and dedicate yourself to Buddhas and Sangha, you will gain one out of every seven points in your life.
This means that if a person is about to die, and if his children or descendants diligently protect the house, provide food, make offerings to Buddhas and monks, and seek the blessings of monks in the ten directions, then the dying person will be able to receive seven percent of the money. The merit of one.
Then the other six-sevenths of the merits are actually for living people.
The same is true for salvation. Generally speaking, salvation has the following benefits to living people.
The first benefit is to eliminate the karma of the living. For example, abortion is a big sin, or if the living fails to fulfill some obligations after the death of a loved one, causing the deceased to suffer in the underworld, the living will be entangled.
This often has some very bad negative effects and brings obstacles to people's career, wealth, health, etc.
If many people feel that a certain period of time is particularly unsatisfactory, they must think about whether it is the visit of a deceased relative or the entanglement of the spirit of an aborted baby.
The second benefit is that it can relieve emotions. For example, some people had abortions when they were young and did not take it seriously at the time. However, after a few years, they feel sorry for the child who did not come into the world, which will cause some bad emotions.
There are also people who never forget their deceased relatives, or have regrets when their relatives passed away, and are still brooding about their own inability to do so, which can also create guilt and shadow in their hearts.
The third benefit is to increase your own blessings and accumulate your own merits. This is easy to understand. The dead or infant spirits have received the benefits of salvation. They can let go of their obsessions, or be reincarnated, or live a good life in the underworld, which is a good thing for both parties.
To put it simply, salvation is about accumulating merit for living people, and it is about mitigating sins for the dead so as to avoid falling into evil paths.
However, salvation does not mean sending someone away directly. Nothing in the world is that easy. Ordinary deceased people don’t have much resentment, so it’s better to send some away.
But for those resentful dead souls and aborted infant spirits, if anyone dares to promise you that they can send them away and be reincarnated in one go, or even tell you that they can send them to heaven, they are definitely deceiving you.
Strictly speaking, salvation means enlightenment and salvation, through chanting sutras and other methods, to alleviate the resentment of dead souls or infant spirits, so that they can be reincarnated as soon as possible.
For example, a person was hit by a car and died for no reason. He couldn't think about it and was unwilling to leave. At this time, a highly virtuous mage came and persuaded him earnestly and told him the words of gods.
If he understands the truth and knows that everything is caused by cause and effect, and that he has received retribution for his sins in his previous life, then he can let go of his obsession and reincarnate.
But if his karma is too deep and his grievances are too heavy, and he cannot understand this principle and is unwilling to listen, then it will be difficult. What effect this kind of salvation can achieve depends on the master's Taoism and magic power, and this person. of good fortune.
There is another important factor, which is the motivation and piety of relatives, because this kind of power of mind will also directly affect the effect of salvation.
Therefore, salvation does not mean sending the deceased away directly, but a process of salvation.
To use another analogy, if you give a special session of salvation to the souls of aborted infants, then it is equivalent to hiring a private tutor. The teacher's level is certainly important, but it is not certain whether your child is willing to learn or how much he can learn. .
Uncle Ma's explanation was easy to understand, and I listened with great interest. Then when he said this, I said, Uncle Ma, is it like participating in a collective salvation dharma meeting, which is equivalent to a class teaching together, and the teacher teaches the same things? Learn how much depends on fate.
If you do a special extracurricular tutoring class, you can have three or five people with one teacher, or you can go one-on-one.
Uncle Ma said with a smile, not to mention one-on-one, if you have money, you can even hire ten or eight teachers for your children, and only teach one student of your child, and the effect will naturally be even more different.
But remember, if your child is not that good at learning, and is not willing to learn, then even ten teachers, let alone a hundred teachers, will not be able to do anything.
Therefore, no teacher dares to guarantee that your child will be admitted to Tsinghua University and Peking University, and no mage dares to guarantee that you can be reincarnated directly after salvation, or that you can go to heaven.
Learning requires a process, and so does salvation. After you perform the salvation ceremony, you must also make a wish in your heart to do more good deeds, accumulate blessings, and at the same time dedicate it to the souls of the deceased.
This relationship is like that of teachers and parents, who should work together for the growth of their children.
Instead of throwing it at school, parents usually don’t care about anything, and scolding teachers before they get into college is irresponsible.
Uncle Ma's words gave me a feeling of enlightenment. At the same time, Uncle Ma also told me that there are actually many forms of salvation. If you are financially well-off, you can do a special salvation or make a show of it. Anyway, as long as you have money. That’s it.
If the financial conditions are not good, then you can recite sutras and dedicate yourself, and do more good deeds, such as releasing animals and giving alms. While accumulating merit and blessings for yourself, you can also benefit the spirits of infants and the deceased.
In addition, you can also participate in some collective salvation rituals, or hang a memorial tablet for the deceased. These methods of salvation are all possible. The only disadvantage of the above is that the effect is very slow.
Just like Liu Changcheng, after he drowned and died, his family hung a memorial tablet for him in the temple, but he still hadn't reincarnated after thirty years.
However, although he has not been reincarnated, his resentment has been almost eliminated. It can be said that he has reached the standard of reporting to the underworld.
In this world, there are indeed charismatic beings. I just heard Uncle Ma tell me about salvation. That night, for some reason, I dreamed about the impermanence of black and white.
The two of them stood in front of me and gave me a rather scary smile.
