Seeing that I was a little embarrassed, Bai Xiaoyan poked her and said with a smile: "What's so surprising about going to the temple? Aren't we going with Master today?"
Miss Wang didn't seem to react, and she seemed to be asking questions knowingly, and said to me: "That's obviously different. You see Master Xiaofan's face is red. Tell me, is that girl your girlfriend?"
In fact, there was nothing to hide. I nodded and said, "Yes, she is my girlfriend, but she is already an ex-girlfriend."
Miss Wang asked again: "Ah, then why are they separated? It's a pity to hear your tone?"
I said helplessly: "There is nothing we can do, she went up the mountain."
Miss Wang was surprised and said: "Ah, you are so young... is it an illness or some accident?"
I couldn't laugh or cry: "Where are you thinking? She is destined to be a Taoist and has become a monk."
Miss Wang had a look of realization on her face. She wanted to say something more, but was stopped by Bai Xiaoyan.
"Okay, shut up now."
She picked up a bottle of Coke on the table and put it into Miss Wang's hand.
Miss Wang wanted to say something else, but when Bai Xiaoyan glared at her, she quickly closed her mouth and did not dare to say anything.
This girl is quite nice, but she is outspoken and can say whatever she catches, which is quite cute.
Then, Bai Xiaoyan told me seriously.
"Actually, feelings are also a kind of debt. If you owe her something in a previous life, or she owes you something in a previous life, then when you are together in this life, when you leave or break up, it means that each other's The debt is paid in full.”
Bai Xiaoyan's words reminded me of my previous dream.
I don’t know which life it was, but Zhang Wenwen was a flower. I watered her every day, but later she still withered.
So in this life, she is here to repay my kindness of watering.
After repaying the favor, it was natural for her to leave.
I sighed and said, "Yes, I didn't owe you anything in my previous life. If I don't meet you in this life, if we meet, I will definitely owe you something."
Bai Xiaoyan smiled and said: "Master is so right. As the saying goes, when fate arises, I see you in the crowd, and when fate ends, I see you in the crowd. The origin and end of fate are all destined, and any idiot It’s useless to dwell on it.”
She is also a transparent person. When she and I looked at each other and smiled, I suddenly felt that the unhappiness and unwillingness that had been tangled in my heart seemed to disappear at this moment.
Miss Wang couldn't bear it anymore and added: "What you said is too profound. I want to know now, when will my fate appear?"
Bai Xiaoyan and I said in unison: "You, let's talk about it after you are thirty-five!"
After the meal, Bai Xiaoyan said she wanted to invite a Buddha statue because Aunt Hu said she had a close relationship with Buddha and wanted to offer five Buddha statues at home. She felt that since her fate was in Harbin, it would be best to invite her here.
I found it a bit troublesome because I still had to mail something. I said you are in Shanxi, how about going to Wutai Mountain to invite you?
She said that she felt that the Xian family asked her to invite her here, which was a bit troublesome, but she still listened to the Xian family.
After all, inviting a Buddha statue also depends on fate.
I said that's true, you should go wherever you are destined. If you are not destined, even if you are face to face, it is useless. If you are destined, it cannot be blocked by being thousands of miles away.
So we asked for Buddha statues at Kek Lok Temple, and quickly selected five statues. We discussed how to transport them, and everything went smoothly.
Miss Wang looked around curiously, and then while Bai Xiaoyan was paying, she pointed at a Buddha statue on the wall and asked me, "Master Xiaofan, is that Tang Monk?"
I was stunned and thought to myself, why did Tang Monk come out?
When I looked up, I couldn't help but laugh and cry.
The Buddha statue that Miss Wang pointed at was not Tang Monk, but Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva!
Bai Xiaoyan was speechless. She quickly paid the money, pulled her and ran out.
After they all walked out, Miss Wang was still puzzled. She turned back and pointed at the store and said, "Isn't that Tang Monk? They all have the same hats?"
I had no choice but to educate her. I told her that the hat was called the Pilu hat. It was worn by eminent monks when presiding over Dharma gatherings. It was not exclusive to Monk Tang.
But in fact, there are many people who mistakenly mistake Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva for Tang Monk, and it is not just Miss Wang herself.
Because the costumes of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva and Tang Monk are so similar in the impression of the world.
Here are a few reasons:
First of all, the Bodhisattvas we see in temples and Buddhist culture are basically celestial beings wearing crowns, celestial robes, and necklaces.
Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is the only one among the four great Bodhisattvas who appears as a monk.
Most of the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattvas we see have bald heads or wear Vairocana crowns, cassocks and tin staffs, which are exactly the same as Tang Monk.
There is a saying that the current statue of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva in Chinese Buddhism is based on the image of the eminent monk Jin Qiaojue of the Tang Dynasty.
According to legend, during the Tang Dynasty, Prince Jin Qiaojue of the Silla Kingdom became a monk and went to China to seek Dharma. He visited Jiuhua Mountain in Anhui Province and practiced asceticism in the mountains for seventy-five years. He had noble morals and profound wisdom. He passed away at the age of ninety-nine. Three years later, The physical body remains unchanged.
Because Jin Qiaojue's Dharma name is Ksitigarbha, he is revered as "Golden Ksitigarbha". According to the "Ksitigarbha Ten Wheels Sutra", the world believes that he is the incarnation of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, and uses his Nirvana on July 30th as a commemoration of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. During the festival, Mount Jiuhua later became the dojo of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.
The Tang monk, also known as Master Xuanzang, and Master Jin Qiaojue were both monks from the Tang Dynasty, so they were identical in attire.
If there were no Journey to the West, probably the world would not regard the statue of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva as Tang Monk, but there is no way. The image of Tang Monk is so deeply rooted in the hearts of the people that many people have misunderstood it.
After listening to my explanation, they both suddenly realized, especially Miss Wang, who kept slapping her forehead and saying that she was such a big fool. She had always thought that the one enshrined in the temple was Tang Monk for so many years...
When we talked about this, Bai Xiaoyan suddenly asked me: "Master, do you think no one will offer sacrifices to Monk Tang?"
I replied: "There must be some, but generally they are not worshiped in temples. There are only a few temples dedicated to Tang Monk. Among the people, there are also Buddhist temples dedicated to Monkey King, Monkey King, so it is not unusual to worship Monk Tang."
She shook her head: "I'm not talking about the temple, I'm talking about home."
I asked curiously: "At home? Who will offer sacrifices to Monk Tang at home?"
She said: "Not only Tang Seng, but also Lei Zhenzi."
I was speechless: "Lei Zhenzi? Isn't that from The Romance of the Gods?"
She continued: "There is also the King of Hell, black and white are impermanent."
I was even more speechless: "Who are you talking about? If you worship Lord Yama and Black and White Impermanence at home, does that mean you no longer want to live?"
She said: "I met her at a friend's house before. She said that she was also a thief, but I didn't understand it at the time. It was only when I got to Harbin that I realized that you are the thief. She was...hard to describe."
Under my questioning, Bai Xiaoyan told me about her friend's situation.
