"Four Nine Mysterious Techniques?"
All Mu Haotian's thoughts, all his gazes, all his hopes were concentrated in this thin book in front of him.
Taoist cultivation is what he has longed for since he was a child, and has been his unwavering ambition to this day.
In addition, due to the historical origins of his master's sect, Xuanwu Mountain, and such "amazing names", the so-called "Monster-Slaying Dragon-Slaying Magic Sword" and "The Gods and Ghosts from All Directions Listen to the Order Talisman", he Without even looking at it, I threw it away.
I couldn't wait to face the warming sunshine and devoted myself to studying this book of exercises.
The material of the book is neither paper nor cloth. It feels full of fine lines and tiny pores are vaguely visible, as if it is made of some kind of thin and tough animal skin. Although it looks old and the corners are very smooth after years of reading, fortunately all the pages are intact.
Mu Haotian flipped through it casually at first, and found that the cover was blank and the content of the text was obscure and difficult to understand, like a book of heavenly contemplation. Some pages at the end of the book had been torn off for unknown reasons, leaving only a trace of incomprehensible adhesion.
Ma Sifang once said that this technique is called "Four Nine Mysterious Techniques".
The name sounded familiar at first, but he searched for it in his mind for a long time and couldn't recall it, so he put it behind him and prepared to start understanding and reciting it.
"It is said that when all famous sects teach their skills, they burn the skills on "jade slips" and check their memory at any time, or use special teaching spells to directly imprint the content of the skills on people's hearts. In this way , the disciples don’t have to waste time and effort and memorize it by rote... This secret book of "Four Nine Mysterious Techniques" is purely handwritten, and has a lot of ancient heritage. It seems that the grade is not too high..."
The slight disappointment in Mu Haotian's heart completely disappeared the moment he opened the first page of the book!
Instead, there was the tension and excitement of discovering a secret treasure alone, and as he continued to read down, his heart beat faster and faster.
Later, the huge ecstasy in his heart swept over him like a wave, almost making him stop breathing.
On the first page of the book, Long Feifengwu wrote two lines of eight characters:
"Yun Zhongxuan thunders!"
"Canglan Moon God You..."
The origin of the name of Kyushu and the prophecy that has been passed down for thousands of years are concise, concise and catchy. Even ordinary children can recite it casually, and Mu Haotian is familiar with it.
Not long ago, he heard the "voice of the heart" read once.
That time and that moment, exactly this moment.
A heavy sense of fate fell gently on his heart.
"But why is it written on the front page of the Taoist Mysterious Skills secret book?"
These two lines of writing are high-flowing and powerful, but they reveal a kind of deep confusion after a profound exploration, and the almost endless despair that follows.
Mu Haotian's strange feelings came from the end of these two lines:
The first line is "Thunder is thundering in the clouds", and an exclamation "!" is drawn at the end.
In the second line, "Canglan Yueshenyou", I clicked on the last row and omitted "...".
All the writer's feelings about this prophecy seem to be condensed into the ending symbols of the two lines, which is unforgettable and inspiring.
Mu Haotian quickly turned his attention and quickly turned over the first page. Those two lines of words were like a mysterious bottomless abyss. He was afraid that if he looked at it a few more times, he would involuntarily sink into the writer's state of mind.
On the second page, there are more than a dozen paragraphs of small words written in ancient, neat and dense handwriting. It is completely different from the style of the first page, and it is obviously written by different people.
◇
Becoming an immortal is the ultimate dream of the world.
but!
What is a fairy?
The land of Kyushu has a saying from ancient times:
Man and ape bid farewell, gods conveyed messages, and civilization began.
The fairy mountains stand tall, the snow melts slowly, and the wind flows in small boats.
Hitting the water on the beach, thousands of silver flowers bloom, deceiving endless believers to compete for swimming.
The wind picks up the green apples and fills them in the mouth of the earth bag, accompanied by the sudden rain, the furious roar, thunder and rocks, and the shocking sound sweeps over the ground! Soaring thousands of miles.
Ask the sky with one finger: "How do you become an immortal?"
But with the combined strength of wind and thunder, he could kill Lin Mang's survivors.
For eight thousand years, the great river has flowed eastward, clouds and mist have passed by and thousands of rivers have gathered, and this man is gone.
Meeting at the edge of the sea, he cried and said, "Where does love come from?"
◇
The ancient will that rushes towards him is like a magnificent and tragic epic, vividly displaying the peerless grace of the former Xuan Gong master.
Mu Haotian read it over and over again without realizing it, but he didn't understand the deep meaning.
I just felt an endless feeling of desolation coming out, as if I was in the vast and empty grassland for an instant, staring at the traces of mountains on the horizon that seemed to be within reach, but actually could not be reached even if I ran a good horse. .
…
Mu Haotian took a long time to come to his senses. After reading two pages, he could not help but feel confusion welling up in his heart:
"Why does this Taoist mystical skill, before starting to practice it, first let the practitioner experience such a state of mind as desolation, confusion and even despair? The poem on the second page seems to be describing the path to immortality, or exploring some kind of The perception of the terrible truth, or...are the two the same?"
He shook his head vigorously to get rid of distracting thoughts and no longer bothered himself. After all, for him, being able to embark on the path of cultivating immortals was a huge surprise anyway!
Starting from the third page, there is the main text of "Four Nine Mysteries".
Mu Haotian flipped through it carefully, but saw that the text of this exercise had dozens of pages. Judging from the handwriting, it should be a copy. There are some crooked annotations written between the lines by later generations, some of which look like insights gained during practice, and some of which look like spells and spells jotted down casually. The font is thin and small, which is slightly different from the characters he has known since childhood, but overall it does not hinder reading.
He calmly watched it for two full hours, trying his best to remember the content of the technique and the side notes in his mind. At the same time, he also understood the different cultivation realms of this mysterious skill.
The "Four-nine Mysterious Techniques" have entered the realm for a total of five rounds and forty-nine levels.
Among them, the first to fourth turns are divided into ten layers each, while the fifth turn has only nine layers.
This volume only records the content of the first four turns, which are the first turn "Lotus Grows from the Sea of Qi", the second turn "Melding the Dao and Condensing the Heart", the third turn "Wandering God and Refining the Void", and the fourth turn "Connecting the Mysterious and Transforming the Real".
Those pages that were torn out were the fifth chapter of "Freedom and Ruyi".
It can be roughly judged from the naming of each turn and the annotations in the text that except for the fourth turn "Tongxuanzhen" which alone corresponds to the "Xuanling Stage" of the seventh realm of the Tao Sect, the first three turns each include two Tao realms.
The eight realms of Taoism known to the world:
Qi accumulation, foundation building, breaking mortals, golden elixir, Yuanying, integration, Xuanling, Mahayana.
This small volume of "Four Nine Mysterious Skills" actually records all the training techniques from the Qi accumulation stage to the Mysterious Spirit stage! Not to mention the missing fifth chapter of the "Tao Dharma Mahayana" - freedom and fulfillment.
Based on this calculation, the entire Xuan Gong is actually the road to immortality!
From this alone, it can be concluded that this technique must come from a top sect. How can this not make Mu Haotian feel ecstatic?
It should be noted that Jiuzhou is so vast that there are numerous caves, heavens and blessed places, as well as dangerous mountains and dangerous places. Even the so-called immortals who fly to the sky and escape from the earth, move mountains and fill the sea in the eyes of ordinary people would not dare to say that they have traveled all over the world.
Beyond the vast territory of Kyushu, there are many inaccessible places no less large than this. There are many sects that have left behind the world to establish religions or strange people living in seclusion.
There are many sects of cultivation in the world, each relying on their amazing art.
However, due to the "Great Change of Heaven and Earth" and the "Age of Ending Dharma", the exercises of most sects in the world today are very few that can allow people to practice to the combined stage and the Xuanling stage. There are Mahayana stage exercises, that is, Those who hold the secret of becoming an immortal are all famous immortal sects.
Mu Haotian has been yearning to practice Taoism since he was a child, and he tried every means to understand relevant knowledge. However, he was not in the mainstream of the teachings. He was only familiar with some common sense, and his theoretical vision was not very high.
At this moment, I just want to understand the extraordinary nature of this technique. I am excited, ecstatic, and want to look up to the sky and smile!
But he never thought about the kind of disaster that would happen to him if he possessed and practiced such peerless skills in a world of cultivation where the jungle was strong and the jungle was full of dangers.
Or maybe, even if he is fully aware of this truth, as a young man who is fearless, frivolous, and energetic, how can he be even timid and hesitant due to mere difficulties and dangers?
