Did you propose it? "
Zhuo Qun looked at Dou Shujun, "Isn't this decided by Feng Chunguo and others after discussion? Why did you propose it again?"
"I make suggestions and they make decisions. Isn't this normal?"
Dou Shujun spread his hands.
"Reason, why did you make this suggestion?"
Zhuo Qun asked after a moment of silence.
"We can't just deal with those worlds in the past, and not every one of those past worlds will be willing to submit to us like the Northern Song Dynasty, and we can't subdue every one of them."
Dou Shujun said with a serious expression.
Dou Shujun stayed in the Northern Song Dynasty for a long time, and he also had some understanding of the thoughts of those emperors. That is, the emperors before the Northern Song Dynasty really had the aura of being the only one in the world. Those who will succumb to anyone are extremely egotistical people.
Moreover, their system also determines that they cannot be subordinate to others. Even if you are stronger than him, as long as you want to subdue him, the other party will fight you to the death.
Therefore, he believed that they could communicate on an equal footing but could not be forcefully persuaded. Of course, it didn't matter to the Song Dynasty. After all, they were cowards.
"The people of the region do not rely on the boundaries of the territory, the country is not consolidated by the dangers of mountains and rivers, and the power of the world does not rely on the benefits of military revolution. Those who have gained the Tao will have many help, and those who have lost the Tao will have little help. Those who have few help will be close to their relatives. Those who have many help will When it comes, the world will obey."
Dou Shujun suddenly recited a sentence from Mencius: "The right person has many helpers, but the wrong way has few helpers."
"Are you right?"
Zhuo Qun thought about it, "Then what is our way?"
"How do we convince those countries to join us? How do we get them to ally themselves with us."
Zhuo Qun looked at the person in front of him and asked.
"China has great etiquette, so it is called Xia; it has the beauty of wearing seals, so it is called Hua. So it is called Huaxia. Rong, Di, jackals and wolves cannot be disgusted. The people of Xia are intimate and cannot be abandoned. Banquets and poisons cannot be cherished. Yes. We are Zhu Xia, not Rong Di."
The first of the two sentences Dou Shujun said was from Kong Yingda's "Chun Qiu Zuo Zhuan Zhengyi" and it said that it was still Zhu Xia. The second sentence is from "Zuo Zhuan, Min Gong Year": Di people attacked Xing. Guan Jingzhong said to the Marquis of Qi: "Rongdi, jackals, and wolves are something you can't get tired of; people in the Xia Dynasty are so close that you can't abandon them. Banquets are poisonous, and you shouldn't be pregnant with them. "Poetry" says: "Don't you cherish your return, and fear this simple letter? "Jianshu, it means to show sympathy for the same and evil. Please save Xing and follow Jianshu." The people of Qi saved Xing.
This is very interesting. What Dou Shujun said is telling Zhuo Qun that we must hold high the banner of Zhu Xia and use Zhu Xia as a link to unite them all.
So what is the link between Zhu Xia and Zhu Xia? It depends on how this word was born.
Names such as Youxia, Zhuxia, and Huaxia all originated from Zhou people. There is evidence in the documents of the early Western Zhou Dynasty that he called himself "Xia":
"Shang Shu·Kang Gao": But Pi Xian Kao Wen Wang, Ke Ming De careful punishment, dare not insult the widowers... Use Zhao to build our region Xia, cross our one or two countries to build our western land.
"Shang Shu·Jun Shi": Only King Wen Shang Kexiu and I have summer.
"Shang Shu·Li Zheng": The emperor punished him, so he was punished by the emperor, and Shi Shang was ordered to do so.
In other words, Zhou people call themselves "Xia", but this Xia is different from the Xia of Xia people.
It is recorded in the literature that
The Xia people’s surname is Si, and the Zhou people’s surname is Ji.
Furthermore, based on the record in "Guoyu·Jinyu IV" that "the ancients have different surnames, they have different virtues, and different virtues have different races", it can be inferred that the Xia people and the Zhou people have "different surnames", so they are "different races", that is, they are not the same ethnic group. There is also a record in "Historical Records: The Family of Chen Qi" that "after asking for Yu, he got the Duke of Donglou and granted him the title of Qi to worship the Queen of Xia." This means that the descendants of Xia were granted the title of "Qi".
The Xia that Zhou people call themselves is not the Xia of Xia people.
In the historical circles, there are two views on Zhou people calling themselves Xia.
First, Xia = Da. "Erya·Exegesis" records: Hong, Kuo, Hong, Pu, Jie, Chun, Xia, Yi, Pang, Fen, Gu, Pi, Yi, Hong, Dan, Rong, Jun, Jing, Shuo, Zhuo, Xi, Yu, Qiong, Ren, Lu, Yin, Fu, Jing, Waste, Zhuang, Tomb, Jian, Xun, Xuan, Hao, General, Industry, Xi, Daye.
"Dialect" by Yang Xiong of the Western Han Dynasty: "Xia means big. From Guan to the west, those who love the greatness of all things are called Xia."
The second is, Xia = West; District Xia = Western soil; Youxia = people from Western soil
"Zuo Zhuan" records the story of Jizha watching music in the 29th year of Duke Xiang. Jizha's people were invited to listen to the music played by the musicians. They heard music such as "Bei", "阘" and "Wei". After listening to it, they praised the music for being nice. Only when they heard the song "Qin", they suddenly said: "This is It is called the sound of summer. If you can do it in summer, it will be great. When it is great, it will be as old as the Zhou Dynasty."
Yang Bojun made a note under "Xia Sheng": In ancient times, the west was referred to as Xia. "Lü's Spring and Autumn Ancient Music Chapter" "Ling Lun comes from the west of Daxia", and Gao Ying noted: "Daxia, the mountain of the west." In the Spring and Autumn Period, Chen Gongzi Shaoxi was named Zixia, and Zheng Gongsun Xia was named Zixi, both of which indicate that "Xia" has the meaning of "West".
Zhou Gong wrote "Da Gao", recording the inscription of Dabaogui, saying, "There are great difficulties in the Western Land, and the Western Natives are not calm, and the more stupid they are." The Western Natives still refer to the Zhou Dynasty, and the Western Natives refer to the Zhou people. Zhou people called themselves both Westerners and "Xia", so "Xia" means "West".
Therefore, "Youxia" in the early Western Zhou Dynasty can be understood as "people from the Western Land".
After King Kang and King Cheng of the Zhou Dynasty, there was no trace of "Youxia" or "District Xia" in the handed down documents and bronze inscriptions, because after the middle of the Western Zhou Dynasty, the way of cohesion of ethnic groups changed. From "Youxia" to "people of the Western Land" Regional identity became kinship identity under the patriarchal system centered on the Zhou royal family. At this time, "Zhou people" replaced "Youxia".
At this time, Zhu Xia did not exist yet, and the appearance of Zhu Xia was the word invented by Guan Zhong.
The background of the birth of this word is very clear in "The Legend of Gongyang", "Southern Yi and Beidi are at crossroads, and China is as continuous as a line."
Nanyi refers to the State of Chu. The State of Chu was very powerful in the middle of the Spring and Autumn Period. "The concubines of Hanyang and Chu are all in power."
Beidi mainly refers to the Shanrong in the north. Yan Ji was destroyed by Shanrong. Xing and Wei in the Central Plains were attacked by Di. The royal court of Zhou was also unable to resist the invasion of Rong and Zhai.
Except for Jin, the overlords of the Central Plains at that time were Qi, Qin, Song, Chu, and Yue. None of them had the surname Ji. The Jiang surname of Qi could be regarded as the core clan of the Ji Jiang group of the Zhou people. The remaining Song Dynasty was the country of the Yin people. Qin, Chu, Wu , Yue were once regarded as barbarians.
"China" refers to the Zhou royal family with the surname Ji in the Central Plains.
Therefore, "Southern Yi and Beidi are in contact, and China is like a thread" means that the Ji dynasty, surrounded by other countries, is like a thread that is trying to be maintained and is about to be broken.
It was under such circumstances that Guan Zhong said to Qi Huan Gong, "All the Xia are intimate and cannot be abandoned." Confucius said, "I am not a little Guan Zhong, but I was sent to the left." It was at this time.
As for what can gather people's hearts in this period, Guan Zhong gave the answer, Zhuxia, the word Zhuxia is different from Youxia in the early Zhou Dynasty. Youxia refers to the people of the Western Land, and the core of the people of the Western Land is none other than Ji Jiang. The surname, for the Jiang surname, is to find a symbol of identity that can legally unite the Ji-Jiang kingdoms and enable the Jiang surname to gain the same status as the Ji surname, and nothing is better than the word "Xia". Therefore, "You Xia" in the early Zhou Dynasty was once again cited. Since there was no longer a unique core, it was called "Zhu Xia". The term "Zhu Xia" was most likely created during the reign of Duke Huan of Qi. It was a banner he used to order the princes of the Central Plains to fight against Northern Di and Southern Chu.
