With the conclusion of the Northwest Army Military and Political Conference, the Army quickly proposed a rigorous army organization system, adding baggage troops to each army, and mechanizing the entire army, with each division adding an armored battalion as an assault force.
The military headquarters organizes the troops of the Northwest Army in various regions and is responsible for every aspect of strategic tasks.
In Chahar and Jehol, the 1st Army Group was established. Under the jurisdiction of the First Armored Corps, the 15th Army, and the 16th Army. The entire group army has a strength of 230,000 people.
The 2nd Group Army is located in the Western Region and consists of the 2nd Armored Army, the 3rd Army, and the 4th Army, with a strength of 240,000.
The Third Group Army is located in Sichuan and Shaanxi. The same three armies are the 6th, 7th, and 8th Army, but there is no armored division configuration, because the armored forces will be sent to the Western Regions, Suiyuan, and Jehol first.
The 4th Group Army is located in Jin Province and belongs to the three armies, the 11th, 12th, and 13th Army.
The 5th Group Army is located in Tibet and Qinghai provinces, and is mainly composed of mountain divisions. What is more embarrassing is that the 5th Group Army bears the name of a group army, but there are only two armies, namely the 10th and 9th armies.
The 6th Army Group is located in Suiyuan, including the 5th Army, the 14th Army, and the newly formed 17th Army. The 5th Army will be reorganized into the Armored Corps.
In addition, each group army is directly affiliated with a logistics corps, which is responsible for the supply of logistics materials. In this way, materials are transported from the arsenal to the logistics corps, and then to the field troops through the baggage regiments of each army to ensure the army's continuous combat capability.
