The two of us discussed outside for a while, and when we returned to the yard, we saw that Haitang had washed all the dishes and was carrying a quilt out of the house.
It turned out that they were afraid that we would have no place to sleep, so they packed up a room for us.
"Look, where can I find such a caring sister!" Shao Zilong said with emotion.
"Yes, yes, we are not ambiguous either." I smiled.
Shao Zilong nodded and said, "That's pretty much it!"
After sitting in the yard until about nine o'clock, Shao Zilong asked Haitang to go back to the house to sleep first, and he wanted to go outside with me for a walk.
"Okay." Although Haitang looked at us with a curious look, she did not ask further questions. She nodded obediently and returned to her room.
Shao Zilong and I came out of the yard.
"Close the net." Shao Zilong rubbed his hands and smiled, "Do you think those bastards have gained something?"
"There are two gangs. Which gang do you mean?" I asked him.
Shao Zilong said happily, "You treat Xiaoyao like a wimp. If she hears this, she will be very angry! I mean, Wei Dongting's gang deliberately left our two brothers in the village to be waxed, waiting for us to get rid of them." The fish net is stuck, I wonder what the expressions of those little bastards are like?"
"Then let's catch the fish first." I glanced around and asked, "You are here and I am here?"
"Okay!" Shao Zilong said, and disappeared in a flash.
I saw a figure moving through the darkness and quickly climbed onto the roof of the house in front of me.
I turned around and walked west, found the highest house next to the Bone Tower, climbed up quietly, and sat on the roof.
Shimen Village is not big. The two people occupy the east and west directions and are at the corners of each other. They can basically have a panoramic view of the entire village.
The night sinks like water.
Shimen Village is already very quiet during the day, but it is especially deserted at night. It is pitch dark everywhere and there are basically no lights to be seen.
Moreover, there were no cats or dogs in the village, not even a bark.
There was dead silence.
This wait lasted until early morning.
It was about two o'clock, and the moonlight in the sky was obscured by clouds. Suddenly I caught a glimpse of Shao Zilong who was guarding the roof on the east side. He gestured to me, jumped down, and rushed toward the southeast.
When I saw this, I scanned the surroundings and then followed.
"Split up and chase!"
On the way, I suddenly heard Shao Zilong shouting loudly.
I saw a tail sweeping past, and then a black shadow jumped out of the grass. It was the monster with the head of a man and the body of a snake.
Shao Zilong was chasing after him.
The speed of both sides was extremely fast, and they disappeared into the darkness in a blink of an eye.
In a blink of an eye, I saw a person lying on the ground, his eyes wide open, his body shriveled up, and he had been sucked dry.
Another figure was escaping towards the village.
I followed immediately.
The man was thin and small, and his movements were extremely flexible, like a monkey. He jumped here and there, left and right, with many tricks. As he ran, he would look back from time to time.
It wasn't until he was sure he wasn't being followed that he quietly turned over and entered a house.
I came to the house. On both sides of the closed door, there were two weird stone sculptures of beasts squatting.
In the daytime, the eyes of these two stone sculptures are red and blue.
But at this time, in the middle of the night, there was a faint green light.
A muffled sound of "ah" suddenly came from the dark room. The sound was extremely low and short.
There was no movement after that.
I knew something had happened inside, so I stopped hiding my figure and went up to knock on the door a few times.
Nothing happened inside.
I had no choice but to kick the door open.
"Who's there in the middle of the night?" A hoarse and harsh voice floated out from the house, like someone scratching an iron pot with a shovel.
It was rattling and unpleasant to hear.
"A thief came in just now. I'm here to catch the thief." I said and walked into the house.
As soon as I entered the door, I felt a cold breath blowing against my face.
The house was quite empty, except for a few wooden tables and chairs, and an altar table against the wall.
There is no idol on it, just a mirror.
On the other side of the wall, there was a door with a curtain hanging on it.
I walked towards the door curtain, and suddenly I heard a "whoosh" sound, and the room was filled with light. The two red candles originally placed on the altar table actually lit themselves!
The candle flame lengthened and reflected on my face from the mirror.
This scene is indeed a bit eerie and strange.
"Still not going out yet!" A hoarse voice came from behind the door curtain.
I went over to the altar table, picked up the mirror, looked at it, threw it back, then took a candle, turned back and opened the curtain.
"You are looking for death!" A piercing scream came out, accompanied by a gust of wind.
I lowered the curtain, protected the candle with my hand, and entered the back room.
I saw that the room was larger than the outside. Countless black strings hung from the ceiling. At one end of the string was a doll sewn from cloth, about the size of a palm, with different faces.
There were probably dozens of them, and they were swaying in the air by the dark wind just now.
Directly opposite the door curtain was a large chair, with an old lady in black curled up on the chair.
The old lady's body was shriveled, her face was covered with wrinkles, like orange peel, her eyes glowed gray-white in the candlelight, and she stared at me fiercely, revealing her scorched yellow teeth.
To her left, there was a big black dog squatting. It was huge, not much worse than the old lady. Its eyes were glowing green and its mouth was still chewing.
I took a look and vaguely saw something that looked like a finger.
On the ground in front of the man and the dog, there was a large pool of blood, mixed with rags and what looked like scraps of meat and bones.
There was an unpleasant smell of blood.
"That's reckless. Is it too late for me to leave now?" I took a step back.
Just listen to a bang, and the door behind automatically closes!
"Forget it." I walked to the pool of blood with the candle, took a closer look, frowned and asked, "How did you do this?"
When I raised my head, I saw the old lady and the black dog staring straight at me.
"I told you not to come in. If you have to come in, then don't go out." The old lady said gloomily.
I saw there was a chair next to me, so I pulled it over and sat down. I put the candle on the table and said, "I'm here to catch a thief. The thief came in just now."
"Where is the thief?" the old lady asked.
I pointed to the ground, shook my head and said, "That's probably it." Then I pointed to the big dog, "It's probably what's in its mouth as well."
The old lady's eyes flashed and she said in a sharp voice, "Who are you?"
I saw a small knife on the table, so I took it in my hand and tried it. It was quite sharp. I cut off a piece of the table corner and said, "Is this person here to get your child?"
"Go!" the old lady yelled.
The big dog immediately stood up, showing its white teeth.
At the same time, the rag dolls hanging in the room slowly turned around automatically without any wind, and stared at me with a strange red light in their eyes.
"Don't you want to know where that person went?" the old lady smiled sadly.
