I started writing this book three years ago, and the outline I set was 1.2 million words in five volumes, namely the Owari chapter, the recent chapters, the Kanto chapter, the back to the recent chapters, and the Tianxia chapter.
The length of the last chapter was still within my expectation, about 200,000 words, but then the word count started to get out of control.
I was like driving a racing car without brakes, racing all the way forward, one million, two million, three million, four million, until today's 4.62 million words.
Today, this book has finally entered its final chapter of the world, and is about to fulfill my promise to readers, which is that even if the book fails again, I will finish it well.
Looking back on the past three years, it seems that a lot of things have happened, including marriage, unemployment, and the epidemic. I have never experienced such ups and downs in the first half of my ordinary life.
My writing is not good and my level is limited. I am very grateful that everyone is willing to follow my bad writing to the final chapter of the world. I hope I can finish it successfully and don't let us leave regrets for each other.
