Chelate narrowed his eyes slightly and his expression became a bit playful.

"Give me another chance, okay? Let me... try again, okay?" Hesta pointed at the soldiers not far away, with hope in her eyes, "I can also try them again? Can I, Please--"

The chelate let out a long low groan. It looked at Hesta's face with a smile, but did not answer. It just curled its fingers towards her.

"Well... you come here first, come here, and I'll tell you."

Hesta was stunned for a while, and actually took the initiative to walk towards the chelate. She kicked her left foot and right foot along the way. She was obviously very frightened. Not only did she stumble, but she also had an almost desperate smile on her face.

Several soldiers looked away. They had already guessed the outcome that the people in front of them would face.

When the two sides were six or seven steps apart, Chelate leaned down and picked up an upright blood-stained business card from the gap in the tiles. It placed the business card between itself and Hesta, and gestured, dividing the head and body of the prey in its field of vision into two parts.

The chelate adjusted the distance, like a photographer looking for a suitable angle. It didn't leisurely move the business card away from its eyes until it found its favorite cut-off ratio.

"You are really interesting," Chelate laughed, "But unfortunately, it seems that you are really going to be the first of these people today -"

Before he finished speaking, a ballpoint pen had pierced the business card in Chelate's hand. It obviously hadn't reacted yet, but its eyes instinctively followed the pen tip.

The pen was like a sharp arrow, flying towards the stone wall not far away with the business card. The tip of the pen was sunk into the wall, and the end was still trembling.

——That was the ballpoint pen Hesta used to fill out the form tonight.

Amid the shock, Chelate immediately turned his gaze back, but a red pen came one after another, like a dart, hitting Chelate's eyeballs impartially.

A few steps away, Hesta had jumped up. Her speed was almost flashing, and with the impact of her run-up, she pried off the half of the pen exposed outside the chelate's eye socket.

The tip of the pen that penetrated the eyeball stirred upward and penetrated into the brain. Chelate's body began to twitch, and its hands and feet twisted uncontrollably. It didn't even have time to call for help; its other remaining eye quickly became bloodshot, and everything in its field of vision began to spread and dim.

Before landing, Hesta turned her body and the chelate's body over in the air. As she expected, the chelate that had been lurking at high places finally took action: a series of "swishes" flying from high places. The sound was accompanied by many rectangular pieces of cardboard falling around Hesta, some of which directly cut off the soles of her shoes and empty sleeves.

In the next moment, Hesta threw away the body. She started running along the wall of the hall and quickly locked her target on the second floor.

Hesta stepped on the nails hanging with certificates of honor on the wall, the rock slabs used to place green plants on the wall, and the exhaust ducts of the fresh air channels - she finally saw what the second layer of chelate looked like.

She was a very young girl, almost as young as Eleven.

Even when faced with a sudden attack, the chelate's eyes did not show any waves.

It's neither alarmed nor excited. At the moment when Hesta was already close at hand, it flew out a card cleanly and cut off the only lamp in the corner of the hall.

The sudden darkness was like a silent curtain, hiding all traces.

In this moment of blindness, Hesta felt a sense of horror. In this brief pause, the chelate had already made several movements in succession.

She heard dozens of business cards flying in her direction at the same time - the other party's reaction was faster than she had previously expected, and much faster.

Hesta felt an almost boiling shock, and her fighting instinct mixed with the fear of death made her raise the criticality of the situation at hand to the highest level.

Underestimating the enemy.

This is definitely not the speed that an ordinary little girl can reach after getting sick... This level is already close to that of a well-trained soldier.

With her hearing, Hesta barely managed to take on some of the more fatal attacks. However, her limbs could never keep up with her fighting instincts, so there were bruises on her left ear, shoulders, right arm, and left rib edge. Pain.

Almost at the same moment, several dull groans came from the soldiers in the corner. Their bodies hit the ground with a dull sound, and a stronger smell of blood dispersed.

"Mercury needle?" The chelate in the distance said softly, "But you don't look like it. Who are you?"

"Really," Hesta replied in a low voice, focusing all her attention on the opponent in front of her, "...what's the difference?"

"You don't have mercury eyes."

Just when Hesta heard the noise and thought that the opponent was attacking a second time, a lightning-shaped opening suddenly opened in the dome of the workstation, and a faint shadow flashed through.

The entire workstation becomes quiet again.

Apart from a faint knock on the door, Hesta could only hear her own heartbeat.

When the alarm ends, the doors and windows of the workstations reopen. At the same time, the countdown to opening of the single-person shelters under each counter begins.

Reinforcements arrived quickly, and everyone was fully armed and wrapped tightly from head to toe. Everyone was shocked by the mess inside the workstation. Suddenly, a soldier noticed the noise and yelled into the dark, "Who's there!"

Hesta walked out again with her hands raised.

"Survivors, don't shoot." Hesta whispered in Common Tongue, "There are two chelates, one is dead and the other is running away."

Several people came forward to search. Although there was nothing suspicious, they still handcuffed Hesta and prepared to escort her back for interrogation.

"Wait a minute." Hesta suddenly remembered something and pointed to the corpse not far away. "My pen is still over there. Can I take it before leaving?"

Several soldiers looked at each other, but still led Hesta to the body of Chelate.

"Is this your pen?" a soldier asked in disbelief.

"right."

"Why did your pen get stuck in the chelate's eye - don't move!" Just as Hesta was about to lean over to get the pen, the soldier next to her stopped her again, "Don't destroy the scene!"

Just as Hesta was about to explain, he was suddenly stunned.

By a little street light, she saw Chelate's other intact eye.

The eye was still slightly open and staring. Around the eyes, there is a faint fluorescent edge - as bright and dim as a recently dead mercury needle.

"What's going on?" The mercury needle not far away noticed the movement here, "What are you arguing about here?"

The soldier explained a few words, and the visitor looked at Hesta's shackles.

"... Untie these things, this person will follow us soon."
