Bomb Japan!
When most Chinese people hear this sentence, they will think that Meng Shaoyuan is crazy.
Even if Meng Shaoyuan was not a time traveler, when he heard these words, he would definitely think that the other person was crazy.
The nearly depleted Chinese Air Force has lost air superiority.
bombing?
Or bomb Japan?
Crazy, really crazy.
However, this is a long-planned plan!
Top secret!
Except for a limited number of personnel at the high command, no one knew at all.
Even Dai Li, who has great supernatural powers, had no idea of the existence of this plan beforehand!
Bomb Japan!
The "bombing" of Japan by Chinese planes was not a whim.
As early as the end of 1936, the 1937 National Defense Operation Plan formulated by the Military Commission Staff Headquarters of the Nationalist Government required the Air Force:
"Prepare all bombers to attack the enemy's Sasebo, Yokosuka and their air force bases, and destroy major cities such as Tokyo and Osaka."
But soon the Anti-Japanese War broke out, and the Chinese Air Force suffered heavy casualties in the bloody battle with Japan. Among them, two long-range bombers, such as the Savoia S-72 and Martin-139WC, which could fly to the Japanese mainland, were completely lost.
In desperation, the Nationalist Government set its sights overseas.
In September 1937, when the Chinese military delegation went to the Soviet Union to discuss military aid to China, they received a secret order from the Chairman of the Standing Committee: They must purchase heavy long-range bombers that can be used to bomb Japan.
In October, six TB-3 heavy bombers included in the Soviet Union's military assistance agreement with China flew to Lanzhou as planned.
On November 30, five of the aircraft flew from Lanzhou to Nanchang via Hankou for combat training before bombing Japan.
Unfortunately, Japan has long received information about the presence of Chinese heavy bombers in Nanchang. On December 13, Japanese planes bombed Nanchang Airport, destroying two fighter planes on the spot and injuring three others. The remaining fighter planes were forced to fly back to Lanzhou to avoid the air attack.
Later, due to the limited number and lack of spare parts, the TB-3 was only used as a transport aircraft on the Chinese battlefield and never performed any strategic bombing missions.
Just when people were worried about bombers, many volunteer pilots from the United States, Britain, France, the Netherlands and other countries came to China to participate in the war, bringing with them four Martin-139WC bombers, seven Voltien V-11 light bombers and Several Northrop G2E light bombers have just been eliminated from Europe and the United States.
The Chinese Air Force seems to have seen hope again, but the foreign pilots said that the risk of performing this mission was too great, and proposed sky-high remuneration that was unacceptable to the National Government.
In response to this situation, the Aviation Commission of the National Government decided that Chinese pilots would perform this mission.
At this time, Captain Xu Huansheng, the special plane pilot assigned to the Chairman's Attendant's Room, volunteered to propose that he be responsible for the specific matters of reorganizing the expeditionary bombing team.
After Xu Huansheng accepted the mission, he immediately notified the pre-selected 14th Squadron personnel on standby in Hankou to fly to Chengdu to report immediately.
In March 1938, the Chinese Air Force re-formulated the "Air Force Plan for Attacks on Enemy Mainland" and selected Japan's Sasebo Naval Port and Yawata City as bombing targets.
In order to ensure the successful completion of the mission, the Aviation Commission transferred several outstanding pilots headed by Deputy Captain Tong Yanbo from the 19th Squadron of the 8th Flying Group to join the pilots who had previously arrived in Chengdu to form a special bombing squadron.
The Special Bombing Squadron, led by Xu Huansheng, conducted an in-depth and detailed inspection of various bombers of the Chinese Air Force at that time, and finally selected the Martin-139WC bomber.
Afterwards, the Special Bombing Squadron began combat training at the Phoenix Mountain Base in Chengdu, and explored and adapted to the performance of the Martin aircraft.
During the training process, Xu Huansheng discovered that although the Martin-139WC has good performance and great power, it is likely to be pursued by the Japanese on its way back and may not be able to refuel at coastal airports.
Moreover, it is difficult to achieve a deterrent effect by just relying on these few aircraft to drop bombs.
Therefore, the Special Bombing Squadron requested instructions from the Air Navigation Commission to modify the original plan.
Two bombers carried leaflets to attack Japan to promote our country's will to resist the war and warn the Japanese authorities. In order to shorten the voyage, the targets were changed to Nagasaki, Fukuoka and Kitakyushu on Kyushu Island.
The National Government agreed to their suggestions.
This is the reason why the Chinese Air Force bombed Japan!
Bombs can indeed cause casualties, but sometimes leaflets are far more powerful than bombs!
This is a top secret plan.
Contact with any unrelated persons is strictly prohibited.
Therefore, there is no intelligence on the military command.
Even Meng Shaoyuan, who was busy fighting against the Japanese special agencies in Shanghai, never thought of this incident.
Even though he had been ordered to report to Ningbo immediately, he did not connect the two things.
When he finally realized that he went to Ningbo to assist in the bombing of Japan, the excitement in his heart could not be expressed in words.
Didn't the planes that bombed Japan have to refuel in Ningbo and then officially start this earth-shattering plan?
I will personally experience this feat that will make all the people of the country rejoice!
Although Wu Jingyi could not believe that such a thing would happen, but now that Meng Shaoyuan had said it, whether it was true or not, Wu Jingyi wished she could go to Ningbo with Director Meng!
It's a pity that I don't have such a good opportunity...
…
"I'm going to Ningbo tomorrow."
"I know." Cai Xuefei smiled and poured another glass of wine for her man: "You've said it ** times."
"Ah, really?" Meng Shaoyuan didn't seem to wake up yet: "Okay, I have said it so many times, I still want to say, I want to go to Ningbo, Ningbo!"
"Shaoyuan-kun, are you looking forward to going to Ningbo?" Yamashita Yuri Ai was a little curious: "What is there that makes you so excited?"
"He..." Zhu Yanni suddenly became alert: "Meng Shaoyuan, do you have a sweetheart in Ningbo?"
"Me? I have a sweetheart in Ningbo?" Meng Shaoyuan couldn't laugh or cry, but suddenly blinked: "Yes, I have a sweetheart in Ningbo, but there is more than one!"
"Meng Shaoyuan, you!"
Zhu Yanni was about to have a fit, but Cai Xuefei said with a smile: "Sister Zhu, our Young Master Meng, if there is a woman outside, he will definitely not say anything about it. Only if he thinks that he has no evil intentions in his heart, he will behave like this." He looked very proud of himself."
Zhu Yanni thought about it for a while, and it seemed that it was indeed the case.
Meng Shaoyuan was very proud: "I went to Ningbo, and I really did a great thing, but I can't tell you, not even to death. However, when I come back from Ningbo, you will definitely know what I went to do. "
When he said this, several women really became curious.
What was it that made him so excited?
In their impression, Master Meng is not this kind of person.
Meng Shaoyuan raised his wine cup and drank it all:
"Anyway, this is the good news you have been waiting for me!"
"Shao Yuan." Cai Xuefei raised the tea cup: "We don't know what you want to do, and we can't ask, but what you do must be something big. I wish you immediate success!"
Zhu Yanni and Yamashita Yuri Ai also raised their tea cups.
"Wait, then."
Meng Shaoyuan said solemnly: "This time, it will definitely be an earth-shattering event!"
